I have a German version bought from Netonnet. I didn't know it when I bought it and now they have written on the website that it will not be possible to upgrade it to 2.3.4. I will return the phone and cancle the buy since they didn't tell me the conditions.
You can upgrade dude. Just takes a couple minutes. I don't mind talking you through it if you want.

@bronxdude start playing the playlist you wish to play with, press the playlist icon in the bottom right of the screen (the screen with the album art and player controls and infinite button) and drag and drop using the spotted touch area to the rght of each song in the playlist

I finally got 2.3.4 and thought it would solve my problem, but it didn't. A few times a day my Arc (starting after the latest 2.3.3) becomes really slow updating the widgets and apps on my homescreen. When this happens and I open the app menu I get 12 app screens with some empty places instead of my normal 6 screens filled to the max with apps. If I choose to sort the apps in alfabetical order (which I normally have) instead of the own order (which is not my order at alla). The app menu becomes normal again. Does anyone else have this problem?

I am on 2.3.3 but I have noticed that when exiting applications onto the homescreen the apps take a while to load and there are blank squares in their place. This is my problem, I think it gets better when I use advanced task killer to kill background stuff, but is still annoying. Maybe try a complete reinstall of the phone instead of just the update? I think maybe the phone just slows down after awhile, I will do this eventually but cba backing up my messages/apps etc.

Well I always use alphabetical order.
As for empty spaces and slow homescreen refresh:
this is just lack of memory. Just look into running apps sometimes, if there is less than 90MB free,
when using default browser or maps, Arc will be short of memory and will kill homescreen in the background.
Better kill Facebook after usage, this sh..ty app uses like 40MB of RAM.

I occasionally get slow downs too. It is as doministry rightly pointed out, a lack of RAM or a heavy process running a complex lot of tasks (less likely).
I found the way in which the app is closed makes a difference. Some apps will close completely if you press the home button, some require you to press the back button and confirm exit (Angry Birds is one of these). Facebook is one of the pan in the arse apps that require you to forcefully close it through the system menus or it stays polling their servers and wasting your life.
Not exiting an app properly will keep it in the RAM and cause problems. If, like me, you don't use the facebook app it could be a different app or a combination of different apps. Take note what apps you've run since boot and when the slow downs occur and restart the phone to make sure your RAM is cleared. It may take a bit of detective work but you should find the source of your problems this way.

I have this issue, where sometimes the screen is very hard to swipe like my finger feels resistance when trying to scroll etc. It's not smooth like it should be. Other times it's fine, I've tried clean the screen often with a baby wipe and my hands are pretty much always clean.
Kind of annoying

A baby wipe?!
Try Windex. No lanolin.

I think this jittery scrolling depends on the list of items. I've found if the list is long and in some way needs loading (e.g. a list of running processes or a list apps for shortcuts in a widget app) it can take a few moments to load and can be awkward to move until it's loaded.
Also, use a lens cloth to clean my screen.

Finally got to update my World Generic to 2.3.4 today. Just stuck it in to SEUS and whaddyaknow, there was an update available. Phone still kept telling me that there was no update available when I asked it via the menu.
I am sick of this. Unless my next work pays for my phone, my next phone is a Nexus Prime. I want pure vanilla and no more of this fluting around. Simple as that.
I doubt very much that Sony will be any faster with Android updates, they will have a lot of bloated sonyware on their phones too.

anyone? was thinking it is maybe the screen protector (the one which came with the phone already attached) I am tempted to move it because it has a few light scratches but isn't is a shatter proof protector?

So what is good in 2.3.4. It's so long since it came out that I have forgotten.
Back up and restore, right? Facebook inside? And I think a better camera performance?
Most of all, I hope the battery performance is better.
