It looks like this nearly 2 months old post from back2you got lost somehow  . So the WT19i targets the mid-range market. Unfortunately it looks like the same story (X8->W8) all over again (ST15i->WT19i). |

Damn, screen size will be 320 x 480, meaning Xperia mini size. I was hoping for a larger res walkman droid. Unless there's a walkman in the works that info hasn't for as yet, I might have to settle for either Ray or Pro, cause I want one b4 the end of the year....

Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst  . If I remember right, there were rumours in April about an other  , W15 I believe. What ever happened to that one? |

Hmmm... this is so similar to a certain avmaxfan that wrote about the next big thing from SE and when it didn't materialise he or she disappeared.
If SE do not announce a dual core phone now (August) or at the latest in September for release in September or October then I see problems.
I see a situation where SE releases dual core phones next year while the likes of Samsung and HTC go to the next best thing.
I never thought I'd see the day when every other manufacturers brings out a better specced phone compared to SE. LG pissing all over SE is a disgrace!!
SE have got the software part right but now they need to move on to the hardware part.
Like I pointed out before, when most people walk into a shop they rely heavily on the sales people and having a dual core with a 12mp camera plus a Xenon flash will seem better than anything out there and will sell better which is what SE desperately need. I am sure they will optimize it more like the arc so I'm not worried anymore about their software engineers.
SE needs to start competing.

i repeat We are More than happy with Xperia Lineup, Cybershot, Walkman Stick with these 3 category.
Concentrate on these 3 category .
Give us the Latest Hardware/OS
Give us the latest Camera.

I'm already out the door, standing outside in the yard looking at a once great company falling into pieces.
If they don't come up with a decent phone to beat or compete equally with the Galaxy SII then I'm walking out the gate.
That, also, depends on them making a profit to survive this cut-throat business.
So, a profit in Q3, followed by the release of a true high-end and then another profit in Q4 will make me walk back into the house.

Where is the great 'SONY DESIGN' and the 'ERICSSON KNOW HOW' that we were promised when the company was formed? It's almost enough to make a grown man cry.
Give us some Imagination, Style and Wizardry. If that's too difficult then just slap a proper flash on a 10MP Android and I'm sold.

To be fair to Sony, they have brought their design flair into SE. There are no better looking devices than SE's, they just ooze sex appeal. Unless I'm misunderstanding your point...
As much as I love(d) Ericsson phones I feel they honestly haven't brought their technological prowess in mobile phones.
It is also extremely difficult to understand when one doesn't really have a better idea of the internal structure of the company but clearly they are not embracing the parent companies' expertise properly.
I also feel Sony had no business being dethroned as the camera phone kings by the likes of Nokia, Samsung I can to an extent understand but I'm also not entirely convinced by the latter's standalone cameras.
For years we have been crying out for the Japanese phone specs and for years SE refused to give us those technologically advanced phones even in the face of declining sales.
I'm pretty sure they would've made a whole lot more money had they gave us the technology used in Japan in their non-Japanese phones.
I pray and hope that in their upcoming phones THIS YEAR there is a hardcore flagship to give us all hope.

I had the Galaxy S2 five weeks, but I was unhappy with that. Many small things have bothered me, so I have sold it and bought the ARC. And I must say, the ARC looks and feels much better for me! Above all, it's much cheaper! And I don't feel a big difference in speed! I think single cores are still good enough. But maybe a lil bit more than 1Ghz, 1,4Ghz for example. I can say the batterylife, voice quality during calls, loudspeaker and the cam are much better in compare to the GalaxyS2!!
And one thing is certain, I won't buy the Galaxy S2 again! I love my sexy ARC!  |
