No Xperia Nexus/Nexus Xperia or Sony Nexus or Google Xperia LOL
There is no more phone left in the Sony portfolio this year that you need to be excited about
Now wait for CES 2013 for more juicy stuff. |

Too bad, I had hoped for that. |

It would not make any sense for Sony to announce the LT25 alongside its flagship LT30 because at the end of the day the LT25 has a better screen and it might have some other upgrades that the LT30 does not have. |

can somebody do a side by side spec comparison with LT25/29/30? I'm so confused as to what has what! LT25 sounds nice, but i'm thinking since it's "25" it can't be nicer than 29/30...

^^And it would instantly kill the Xperia SL.

it makes sense that LT25 isn't gonna be announced at IFA if it has features that will outshine LT29/30. If possible, they should have just taken these particular features and incorporated them into the LT29/30. But eh.. we shall see.
I need a new phone so I will probably go with LT29. Otherwise, I'd be waiting until 2H 2013 to see what Sony really has up their sleeve. Possibly something amazing enough for me to want to upgrade after only a year.

I assure you that you will definitely upgrade next year.
1080p OLED is enough to make you drool, without even getting to other features |

Hmm, is this something we should expect for CES, or later in the year? I can only hope you're right. No offense of course, but you're just a voice on the internet like the rest of us. A 1080p OLED display for phones isn't something that anyone's even hinted at, the closest we've heard is 1080p LCD. Could you share with us what the source of this info is? Other websites? Info given to you personally? I can imagine if you're a Sony employee you wouldn't want to elaborate on the latter, but some insight into where you're getting this info from would help greatly in helping to weed out helpful intel from everything else.
I do wonder if 1080p OLED comes if it'll be traditional RGB OLED or if they'll use white magic. Also I wonder what the source of these panels would be. The two likely candidates would be either AUO or Japan Diaply, but I didn't think AUO had anything like that on the books yet, and last I heard, Japan Displays OLED production won't be online until around March. I suppose they could source panels from Samsung, but I find that less likely, even though there's precident with the Vita. |

@vivftp
I already discussed 2013 portfolio in an earlier post in this thread. FHD OLED will come Q3 2013. So no you can't expect it at CES.
As for the source of the panels, its not going to be Japan Display. That is the only info I have. 2014 and beyond we may see Sony OLED panels (JMD).
CES highlight will be Quad core ! And a few new "changes" or say transition phones from Sony Ericsson to Sony Mobile.

Hmm a quick recap for you then.
CES 2013 - 4.6 inch 720p, 1 gb ram, Qualcomm s4 quad. The same phone in Japan with 2gb ram and water resistant body.
In Q2 2013, two new devices with 5 inch 1080p SLCD2 panels, 2gb ram.
Also possibly a phablet 6 inch device with same specs.
Q3-Q4 2013 FHD OLED, MSM8974 Quad with integrated LTE, 2 gb RAM.
In addition to core hardware specs, there will be very exciting changes in the camera department.

Can you give us hint about the PSM for 2013 Xperia lines??
Is there any chance that next year we can see a Xperia Device powered by Vita OS??
since the PSM will be launch by Q3 this year, so we will have cross platform gaming and apps? (for the Vita OS )

Interesting, thanks for the info randomuser. If you're indicating 5"+ devices for Q2 2013, that means they have to be shown at CES. Getting closer and closer to my dream phone
Stedus: IIRC, randomuser hinted at Vita OS phones and tablets some pages ago coming "soon". When that is, is anyones guess. I really, REALLY do hope CES gives us a large look at what Sonys got coming down the pipeline for both Android and Vita. IFA will be a nice bone to chew on for now, but it's gonna be a long dryspell until CES I imagine afterwards
BTW, on a non-mobile related topic, I'm hoping we hear more about Crystal LED TVs at IFA... I don't suppose you have any info on this subject, do you randomuser?
EDIT.
BTW, glad to hear Sony will make a high end phone that's water resistant. I always did wonder why no one ever made a flagship phone that's water, drop and dust resistant. I know it'd probably add to the phones cost and maybe bulk, but if someone is dropping several hundred dollars + on a high end mobile, it's a great selling point for them to know that it won't smash to shit after 1 drop, or dropping it in the toilet.
