oOo Thanks for that info. That means we can ask questions before the rest of the other people who would nicely wait for the actual time.
So any1 asking questions to Magnus Anderson?? |

With all due respect, I have to ask, do you actually have a production model of the X1 are are you simply showing us a prototype that we all have been looking at for months?
My BS detector is beeping like crazy
Shame you don't have your "read the tread detector" switched on, you would have seen he told us it was a prototype a while back
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |

The unit in the video is indeed impressive. A little slow on boot, but not worse than other WM units.

i also became interested on the x1 for the first time, after seeing this video
however...normal windows menus just make me go argh...its the same with the Diamon...once i seen the normal windows mob stuff that is under the touch flow shell, i just loose interest on it...
lets see if windows mobile 7 does change things... |

The media player looks quite good on this device. I guess one of the best things about it to me is the VGA screen - I bet the quality is superb. Can't wait to see it up close.

Hi ares,
Not sure things will change much with Windows 7, I think you either like windows user interface or you don't. I use SUSE Gnome, Symbian UIQ3, and Windows XP everyday yet still find I like windowsXP best, but I do understand it's not to everyones taste I am looking forward to seeing the X1 in action.
But I really have to be convinced that the build quality is good before I invest lots of money in another expensive Sony Ericsson SIM free device I am genuinely fed up with making mods to my devices just to make them feel like they were built right in the factory.
I am interested in what is happening with the Symbian UIQ product line I like the concept of the G900 at lot I really miss the 5 way pad from my P990 it makes navigating UIQ3 so much easier for me so I will be getting one of these to replace my P1 (For sale soon, original SIM free unit with loads of software and 4 Meg card inc!) I just hope the G series is not the end of the line for Symbian for but WM will give a much better sales proposition in the USA.

have become interested in the X1 now... Looks good from that unwired video...
think my boss is looking to get one as soon as possible so will have a play and then see... cant really warrant spending the money on it to be honest as im sure it will be £500 plus...
depends on how much i can get for my G900, and how flush i'm feeling at the time... maybe sometime next year as i got a lot of outgoings coming up in the next few months!
road tax (£400 quid now!!!), car service, car insurance, bills, holiday, christmas etc!!!
never ends and this credit crunch dont help!
but hmmm... maybe next year! |

Its much faster in that video but generally WM phones slow down over time, especially after adding 3rd party apps imo.
Also, the WM just doesnt cover the needs of a phone enough. There needs to be ONE panel that does ALL the main functions of a dumbphone with direct links to other panels like the Media panel and apps like the Opera browser.
Last is the screen technology, its still not as responsive as I'd like (ie IPhone) at least with the finger its not. That without doubt will get annoying enough.
Theres also no youtube player, though as I've said before the Media player is good.
Still a good phone, definately looks the part but I dont think I could get used to WM for a everyday phone, I've already tried before and im not keen on spending £500 plus to try again.
I have a feeling that this phone will suffer in the similar way as the omnia is. People buy it expecting an iphone and get a Windows 95 lookalike instead and the phone goes back.
