@Georgia, I cant get it why are they taking so long since its been released and being used to upgrade k700i phones in some countries. Im really after that new phone search option w/c sad to say that ONLY this fone lacks (even older phones have it)! A new model with a 20th century phonebook! should be ashamed of this major blunder.
forever Read the FAQ before u post a new topic.. 8810->6150->3310->t68i->t610->t630->k700i |

This phone needs more than the search function. A better calendar would be appreciated. I can't add recurrent events from the phone. Nokia has a much better calendar. |

Agree on that stuff about the search function but the calender works alright for me.

Is there a way to tell what Firmware is available for your phone/network provider.... I've updated my k700 3 times recently and unlike when i update my p900 it'll go through with the update even if my firmware is the latest release.... When the update completes nothing has changed?
Yet with the p900 it asks you to check your current firmware first and tells you if there is a newer firmware available? |

I posted a little earlier in this thread that I get a message when the java applet has turned the phone off telling me that my phone already has the latest version and I get a choice to continue or not.
do you not get that too? do you have to go through the full upgrade each time just to find if there is something new?
here a screen dump of what I get

mine is unbranded but it should be able to compare the old with the new, you'd think!

It's the same for me! I can update as many times as I want! I don't get that warning message, it goes through the whole update each times...
I'have a quite un-branded phone (very little customisation by Sunrise (CDA102298/19)) and I'm on Orange CH |

Yes.. a calendar with recurrent events would be GREAT (not just bdays (once every year) but anything you would like)

Just had mine 'de-branded'. Had an O2 phone and could not upgrade, but had someone help me remove the O2 branding. It is a fully functional phone now, and i can even upgrade it myself. I had the first firmware, R2A041, but now i have the R2L001. If you are in USA, just Private message me on how i had it done. |

Finally found a place in Sweden that sells the DSS-25... (according to SE homepage and several resellers this device don't seem to be marketed in Sweden)
Upgrade service worked like a charm!
