6 times the memory capacity to keep powered up, higher resolution screen, More powerful processor to run. And that doesn't include use of camera, mp3 playing etc.

U need to charge for 12 hours as of brand new users and drain your battery if you have it for 3 months or so before charging. Or buy a new battery for emergency purposes. |

i think this one goes out to Nickel Batt users...
and in the case of Lithium Batt, its different... its a low-maintenance battery.. no prep-ups, no need to drain before recharging.

exactly. The issue of memory affect and lithium battery immunity to it is covered to death in this thread It's worth a complete read, much research was done by me and others in ongoing battles to establish that indeed Lithium batteries DON'T suffer memory affect (many useful links to battery info too)

it is better with li on batterys to not let them run out of power and charge them up before they run out , dont worry the li on batterys dont have the memory effect.
i let myn fully discharge weekly just to make sure the battery is being fully used. |

It may be a good idea to know that when you get a new battery it is advisable to drain it first before charging it for the stated time. All new batteries have some charge on them (depending on how long they've been on the shelf in the store) so run them down so that the first charge is from completely empty.

it makes no difference if you do or not.
You can charge the battery as soon as you get it, or you can start using it straight away.
