i wanna keep my t610 until december 04 then buy the s700. If it'll be on it's first release in december,i'll wait until feb 05 , just in time to get one with a sw upgrade, or even 2 sw upgrades!it'll suck for the 1st 2 months when it'll hit the market.

the design is a bit weird.
it is one of the lushest phones but standing at a bus stop, in the rain with all your bags and a hamburger/coffee/handbag/phonecase/sandwich in one hand wouldnt it be jus easier if you dont have to swivel the thing and everything. But anyway, i will be gettin one but 7 months! AAAGH

That is true, I understand where you're coming from that the design makes it difficult for one handed use, but majority of the times that you make/receive calls, you don't need the keypad. You're just using the joystick/pad and softkeys to make/answer calls (assuming you're dialing off of the phonebook). One thing that concerns me is how long is that screen going to last? Leather cases is probably gonna be the next most bought item after buying the S700... |

how do you put a leather case on a phone like the s700?
how much is it expected to cost?
my current contract ends towards the end of november. but i'm in australia, and judging by how long it took the p900 to come out here, i don't think it'll be here in time for me to get it as soon as my contract ends. i'll have to keep my crappy phone and crappy contract until it comes out. then again, i bet it will end up being to expensive for me to afford.

i had no problems open it with one hand (and i have small hands).
by the way, have you noticed that the stereo headphones are not connected to a 2,5mm jack like the p900, p800 and z1010? oh well, at least there isn't such connector in the body of the phone so i guess it connects to the bottom connectors. do you realise the annoyance? you can't connect it to the car stereo tape or home stereo!!!

looks very nice, although I must say, when I get an upgrade I am still going for the P900!
Cool swivel design though!

Maybe they thought that you wouldn't need to connect the s700 to your car stereo and home stereo. being that your car stereo's radio and CD changer (or your home entertainment) would be much better than music from a phone. |

yeah and a discman must be much better than music from a phone and a digital camera better than a phone camera, i don't understand why don't they remove all mp3, video, camera and pda features from phones...
r you crazy?

Anyone who has got that motorola you open the same way as s700? I've heard that it has a tension to be loose. Do you think that the case with the s700?

i too think se are being just stupid for not including a 2.5 jack in this phone, sure i can see why they didn't do it in k700, i really hope that they will put in a 2.5 mm jack in p1000 or something like that, i think the stereo headsets connect the same way as the ones in k700 (actually i think the headphones are the same because of the built in antenna....)
