The new C905 firmware R1BA038 (not sure how new it is) seems faster still - with some more animated menus than before.
That said, the web browser still slows to a crawl if you try loading a large site with loads of images or links. I've been trying to mess around with audio and video podcasts, and wish I hadn't wasted a whole evening!
I will take some more photos and see if they've tweaked the settings, but without a changelog it's always a lot of guessing to know what they fixed (or what they broke!).

The SE update service (it isn't yet available via the phone), which now completely clears all your data. Actually, they've done this for a while but some people may not realise - and not read the warnings that pop up!
Downside is that you have to backup and restore your content (no real problem) but you will have to manually reinstall your email settings, internet settings (if not already on the phone), applications (Opera Mini etc) and re-configure Wi-Fi.
In other words, each firmware update for the C905 is going to be like changing your phone for a new one.
I wonder if SE will consider doing a PROPER backup utility in the future??

@plankgatan
But didn't you recommend us to change to the R1BA038 firmware before?

i think you should stick with your curent firmware because the phones with R1AA firmware take bad pics, just look at C905 pics in the 8mpx comparison from phonearena |
