i found one bug with my w980.. when im trying to set an image as wallpaper, i'm always getting error "Memory Full"... i tried to reset my phone, still the same. i cant set any image as wallpaper! damn.. 
setting an image as screensaver, has no problem at all...

i figure it out. the @$$ CLARITY Theme is the main problem! when im replacing the wallpaper under that theme, im getting error "Memory Full".

Mine is R3CA033 as well and I have got no problem whatsoever like Luwi.
The menus are responsive but a bit slow in dealing with pictures and its normal I guess..
I'll do a good thoroughly check of the music through headphones once my ear comes to normal but what I have to admit that this hmp-77 is very cool and elegant, I really liked it and you don't need to play with it in the adjustment of your ear canal, this one gets rest in very easily and there you go deaf for rest of the world.

I was waiting for the delivery man all day long in my door way and he arrived at 5.30PM GMT, would you beleive it I didn't eat, drink were playing game on my PSP and was watching every van passed through my street but anyways good things come to those who waits and I am very proud on my choice.
I got it in an upgrade on O2 UK, very good deal though. Don't ask about the simfree price, its £369.
Ros, You will love the size and its weight. I am sure its more lighter than my 3yr old W800 way lighter. How much did you pay for that?

Hi, I've had my W980 for five days now and no doubt it's a good phone, but I'd thought some of you may want to know the bugs I've found so far. My W980 is Vodafone branded bought from Phones4U. Software version R3CA033.
I've had the phone hang on me once when using the smart search. I pushed some number keys from the home screen to find a contact, then pressed the call button and the phone stopped working (I had to remove the battery). I've used this feature many times and this has only happened once.
I'm having a few troubles connecting the phone to my computer. Using the phone in Mass Storage mode is fine, but using it with the PC Suite and Media Manager, the phone keeps disconnecting - very annoying when it's in the middle of transfering songs. This could be an issue with my laptop though.
The last bug may not actually be a bug, but perhaps someone can enlighten me. When using my DR-BT21G bluetooth headphones, the signal cuts out very frequently. It's fine when the phone is on a table, and I can even walk quite far away before it starts cutting out, but if I put the phone in my pocket it cuts out way too often. This never happened with my old Z710i. I don't really know what's causing this problem - the phone, the headphones, or something else entirely?
Edit - After further investigation (reading the manual!!) the last bug is most likely down to the bluetooth headphones. The troubleshooting section of the heaphones' manual shows how to 'lower the bit rate'. I guess this setting means my headphones receive a lower quality signal than the W980 sends out. My old Z710i probably sent only low bit rate audio signals, which is why I never had the problem with the signal cutting out.

@LegoJoe,
did you try to unpair then pair again your bluetooth headset with your phone? im using dr-bt20nx(same from sony), dss220, and itech blueband bluetooth headphones with my w980, i didnt experience the problem you have now.

I have paid 454 euros ( 439 for the w980 + 15 euros shipment)
Too much, as I've said.But in Spain, nobody except mobile lovers know of its existence.
It is obviously sim-free, unlocked,new,,blah blah blah
I will have to pay 10 euros extra to add Spanisjh and Catalan to it, as soon as the flash is available.
The first thing will be to charge it well and input music, games and themes...
I hope it gets here well, safe and sound....my post office has lost me two parcels this year(on from France and one from HKong!, I reclaimed and the sellers sent them again but they disappeared...)Nothign like that had happened before, until this spring.
Shhhh! How long does it take from Germany to Spain? Last time it was 7 days and another, 4 days

If you buyed it from germany it may have spanish already included no?
But not Catalan, for sure
I just got mine from ORANGE in france, i now have to found a way to get ride from the orange FW and find the generic one, any idea? ^^

When I bougbht my two w850 and the w880 there, same shop, they did not have Spanish.They had English, German(of course),Arabian and something else
Yes , it is sad 'cause it is going to be 10 euros more and maybe then 10 euros more when Spanis flah add catalan (I am Catalan, from Barcelona in Catalonia) |

Dear Ros, i am not very much sure about that but I guess SE website does provide the language packs which you can install it later. Just have a look, I know I saw it once.
