Wondering if anyone can tellme either where to find out what this little icon i ahve on my homescreen is, or tell me what it is even. Its a photoframe with a cartoon persons head in, with a red arrow zigging towards the frame then back out. Its found where the answer phone, 3g and text message icons appear next to the signal strength

buy this ....(they fit perfect on your head....and have realy good sound)..the only cost 40 euro....think its realy cheap

hello, have read through this thread with interest and have a question:
I would like to know how I can install java apps that I have downloaded off the internet onto my computer. I can't seem to find the folder on either the phone nor card memory which the phone will then 'install' the app from. This links to being unable to get gmail/app to recognise that I am on a phone - it always gives me the PC based browser page and no download!
ideas anyone? |

Thanks to both yourself and Sootee for the advice... ive now removed it. I was confused why it was on as today ive had a replacement k850 as i had mine last monaday on orange and for last three days its been turning itself offf. |

I recommend you using MyPhoneExplorer software. That's all you need. No need for PC Suite.

oh gosh...it's been so long that i forgot about "reply & delete"! hahaha...
i have to say i'm very impressed by the battery life of the phone. it was 50% charged when i first got my phone and after more than 24 hours of playing, testing, bluetoothing, etc...i still had to find ways to run it down so as to do my first full charge!
i'm definitely looking forward to a firmware update to make it less laggy. but i can live with it for now

what earphones are those? i've got the hook one from my w770 . hated the hook coz i have small ears and they don't fit well. i've been scouting for another one to replace just the earpiece and the one in the pic u post looks like they might fit my ear

they are the hpm-83. Check website.
@marinedisco.... most phones come with those style headphones, higher end nokias, moto etc... The only phones which come with in ear headphones are phones and samsung g600. And some o2 phones i think.

Well i got my phone repaired today since it didn't wont to start. They reflashed it and that was that. They also fixed the small problem with distorted sound that i sometimes heard when making a call. It was a flake of metal(like from a file) laying in the speaker! So they put a new speaker in. All this in a couple of hours and no extra charge for doing it so fast! Good service i'd say! |

Thanks for your reply, I have used that for transferring files. However, I can't get the phone to allow me to transfer game files (e.g. marblemadness.jar and .jad onto it. The transfer is always refused/ not allowed. Is there any way around this issue?
Edit:
I found that the best way of achieving this is to transfer the .jar and .jad files in mass storage mode into the 'other' folder on the memory card which the phone doesn't refuse. Then just install the .jad file from the file explorer.

So can anyone visually confirm that K850i records video in 30fps???

I finally finished reading through all the posts. I thought I was ready to purchase this phone, but then I'm iffy.
A few things that bug me most:
I've read a couple of people now post, that they accidentally answered or touched the touchscreen part with their face.
How often does this happen to you?
The smudge factor, solution to this is doing that the user who used the vinyl sticker paper to cover the rear.
Oh yeah, I dislike the missing standby clock.
Still debating over this or the N95 8GB. WHY SONY?? WHY couldn't you just put a damn flash into the W910i!!!!!
