I can now confirm that the latest Blackberry Connect v.3.45 software works perfectly on the latest P990 and M600 firmware.
I have updates, and installed BBC v3.45 on both and they register with the server and work well.
Currently just testing it in a W950 to see what the outcome is. I'll let you know shortly.

Hapy days indeed, I can confirm that BBC v3.45 works perfectly on the W950 as well (FW R9DA001 )
I have tested it on a Generic W950, and also on a Voda branded W950 (CDA 162017/18), and it works perfectly on both.
Happy days indeed.
Also the new BBC v3.45 file is a general sis file that is common to the P990, M600 and the W950, you no longer need a different file for all the phones.

Having a major gripe with the Media Player!
When playing a tune, you minimise it and re-open it, and it stops whatever's playing and starts doing a search for music files again! The same thing happens when you switch to a different application and then switch back! This happens in both flip-closed and flip-open modes.
You have to go into Preferences, Files, and change the "File update" option to "manual" to stop this happening.

Am i the only one with a restore problem here after the update?
i have a Generic P990
Update went ahead fine.
BUT, when trying to restore stuff, 3rd party applications mostly fail and it is mentioned in the report.
but doesnt matter what i do, it will NOT restore messaging! the whole backup fails if i tick "unified inbox"
i have 7 POP3 email accounts on my P990, (dont ask why)
and now it seems i have to manually recreate all of them???
anyone here has same problem/solution???
PLEASE!

Why do you have 7 Pop3 email accounts?

It can be found in the SEcentral forum, you need to register.
Since it was so hard to find I've put up a mirror on my own website for a while, no need to register.

@zyavar
After the firmware upgrade and data restore, though I had checked 'unified inbox', an error message of some sort (don't exactly remember the details) about the inbox restore failing appeared.
When I opened the Messaging application, my POP3 email account (yes, only one account) had disappeared. However, in Step 2 of 3 in the the Storage Wizard, I could see that Messaging had about 9 MB of data which did not make sense as I only had a few SMS in my inbox.
I then tried a partial restore, i.e. with everything unchecked except 'unified inbox'. Result - my POP3 account appeared in the Messaging application and I can now use email as before.
Good luck.

Since updating to the new firmware I am having a problem with the video player. If you play a video, switch to full screen and then adjust the volume by using the scrollwheel the video player crashes in a strange way. This is completely reproducible and happens every time for any video on my phone. Note, it only happens if you adjust the volume in full screen mode. If you don't adjust the volume or switch back to normal mode before adjusting the volume everything works fine.
When the video player crashes, the sound on the video continues, but the video picture freezes and the area under the volume dialog that appears remains white when the dialog closes. Then the whole user interface of the phone slows down to a snails pace and remains this way even if you kill off the video player with task manager/swiss manager. The only way to resolve the problem is a reboot.
Is it just me that has this problem due to some corruption or do others see this? If it's just me I'll try a master reset and an update again.

I´m afraid is just you...people have the opposite experience with the video player: it doesn´t hang has before when advancing, it doesn´t crash, you can change sound and the video keeps running, even with files over 200mb
@bjorne...what problems related to the firmware itself??? problems reported are related to the pc backup aplications or SEUS...the firmware itself has no particular problems

No, it's not just you
I experienced the very same thing yesterday... but I realised that this only happens when i have a theme other than the default one loaded.
In other words, the problem went away when I switched back to the default theme.
Hope this helps.
