Re Nero files, my w950 played them absolutely fine but I found the actual encoding process created occasional short skips in the majority of files. Initially I thought this was the phone but same on PC.
I then encoded using standard winamp to eaac+ format. This worked perfectly. No skips and decent quality, small size. |

I hardly use it - the touchscreen keyboard works very well. When I have used it, I've found the keys quite easy to use, once I got used to it being different to the usual style. |

Hi all,
I've got mine today, it's voda unlocked. Recently got rid of p990i to buy w950i and I'm happy so far. Works a lot faster than p990i(on previous fw) Everything is alright apart from music player volume (EU limitation) but never mind - guys from seunlock.co.uk are working on it !!!
BTW is there any real improvements in new fw for w950i, sorry if this was discussed before |

That's right..
I just sent my W950i for reflashing to SEunlock for a generic1 FW with no volume limiter and I'll be the happiest man in the world..and that was a decision to make..
I live in Greece, so I have to wait for a week..
I hope these guys will come up with a volume patch, just like gopod for the ipod..
They'll give to everyone what they really bought! |

yeah i have it on o2,not branded too much, a few things missing,rss reader . its not sim locked. from what i have been reading its a better option than orange,they have done their usual and wrecked the phone with their crap!
i will be sending fine off though to be totally unbranded as soon as i find some good feedback about se unlock uk
there is one thing i am having a prob with though,i cant seem to get a connection when using any msn messenger services any tips? or is it an o2 thing?

I hope seunlock will help you with the volume, because if the sound patch is not released, I'll have to send my phone off to them.

dont hold your breath on a sound patch update from se . its a big health and safety thing nowadays.
to be honest i dont really have an issue with the walkman volume, i work in a very loud enviroment where earplugs are compulsary i can hear my music fine as long as i use my se stereo bluetooth earphones.
its just the ring and message volume i have problems with especially as the vibrate isn't all that! |

i got a question for everyone. you all know how we are having these problems with the volume right. now my w950i is '3' branded. i had the same problem with my k610i which was also '3' branded. now the other day i was curious to see if the k800i had the same volume problem. i tried it and it had no problems with the volume what so ever, however this was voda branded.
My point is. why has the k800i got normal volume when it came out after the k610i but before the w950i. is this volume problem got something to do with '3' branding?
