No, no no! this is where you're missing the point...
They don't want rooms with a bar, luxury facilities and a troupe of chain smoking staff, they want A ROOM. A separate room, with an efficient extraction system. Just like they've had smoking rooms for years and years since smoking has been banned in many workplaces for quite a while anyway as part of the company's own policies!
Sri Lanka's Bandaranaike airport is a good example. The smoking room is tucked away down an ally, it's door is about ten meters away from the nearest place where you would find anybody who is not specifically heading towards the smoking room.
As I said, not all places would be able to implement such a facility but those that can should be allowed to!

HeHeHe! Ok, I'll take a deep breath or two...
The funny thing is, I'm an ex-smoker but unlike many ex-smokers, I'm still all for smokers rights!

So Batesie, it was HIS fault he was attacked and was killed, I find Smokers to be an aggressive and intolerent bunch who never take kindly to being told what to do, and have zero respect for the rights/views of non-smokers just so long as they can abate their addiction!!
Totally agree. What an inconsiderate bunch of sub-humans smokers are.

Smoking should be BANNED!!! I hate the argument that smokers give saying "Its imposing on our rights, it's up to us to smoke", but who gave smokers the right to affect other people's bodies? Second-hand smooke is just as deadly as if smoking a cigerette. Don't you people worry about bronchitis, emphysema and worst of all lung cancer?
Just out of interest to all those of you with children, please explain how you intend to explain to your child that you are or might die of some smoking related disease? Also, to all those thinking of having children, well you better hop your lucks in; smoking causes some of the highest rates of infetility, (not just menthol, as previously posted). But hey, if you guys want to carry on, then by all means carry on in your own homes, but don't force yourselves on government funded healthcare such as the NHS, there are more serious cases to treat; people who aren't hell-bent on destroying their bodies.
Agree, agree, agree, AGREE!

I just hate walking in the city or being on the bus and having to absorb second-hand smoke. Even walking outside a restaurant or other venue to get to my mum's car! Public smoking should be banned.

You smokers can be likened to suicide bombers. You smoke, killing yourself, and killing everyone around you because of secondhand smoke.Think about my poor mother!

well, if i look on myself, i dont feel and see myself like sy, who prefers a p***s over a v****a or the one, who put bombs on his body...
alexandra, respect of others opinion is very important, next to it, some can really "overreact" such comments what u did and its on the same way unheathly ( compare sy with a total different one ) like smoking...
so imo either ppl can discuss it ona welcome and constructive way or just let the conversation as it is...
hope u get my point

no, but they can be easily wrong interpretated. and its also not nice to call ppl on the mentioend above way, cos i am a smoker too, but not a gay or jihadist... those words dont kill, thats right, but are unrespectful against those, who smoke, but can behave ( myself incl )... so dont talk in average...

you remind me of some loser that would walk into a smoking area just to wave your hand about and make a point and make some pathetic comment before walking out again. sad, very sad.
