Bezel is needed on a tablet, otherwise where do you hold it to ensure you're not touching the screen? Phones are one thing where minimal bezel is alright, because they're so small. If you gave a large tablet like this a bezel like the Xperia ZL, it'd near impossible to hold it properly.
Anyways, it looks good! Wish we had side pics
EDIT.
Upon closer inspection, you can see the power and volume controls are now on the left, rather than the right. The power button is designed like the Xperia Z as well. It appears there are port flaps on the left side and bottom, which would support the theory that the tablet is actually waterproof, rather than simply splashproof like the Xperia Tablet S
I hope it's a real pic of the final design!

That white tablet... Forget N7, Xperia Tablet Z will be my first tablet. The 349 Euros price tagis for which version (Internal size).

Its a tablet son, not a phone. Where exactly would you hold it if there was no bezel?
Looks extremely nice, but is the back made of glass? I'd rather it not be. It doesn't matter which type of glass they use, Gorilla Glass , DragonTrail or whatever, a surface area that large made of glass on the back would be extremely problematic. Display is a concession, but I'd rather the back not be made of glass, especially if its so thin. |

Judging by the way the light reflects off the black model, I would think it's not glass. If I had to take a guess based on visuals, it's probably metal.

They should use White Bezel for the white version like the ZL
