Its only north Dublin thats rough its like any city anywhere you have your rough parts. Dublin is surrounded by miles upon miles of stunning mountains and sea and lovely coastal villages. I was born in a town called Ballybrack south county Dublin but came here when i was not even one year old. My parents had no work there then. Only my youngest brother was born here in UK. My mother was from Dalkey also south county Dublin my dad was from Belfast. Believe me Dublin and the rest of Ireland has far less crime and population than the UK. Your friend is probably from a rough part. Ireland has only 5 million population compared to over 60 million here. It has often been said Ireland has the best quality of life in the western world. I agree you can drive for miles without seeing a single human being except the odd cow. Though Dublin has fast become one of the most expensive cities to live in the world.

Yes Glasgow is very rough gangland crimes drugs they also have the highest rate of drinkers anywhere. The suicide rate is high too. Can't be that bad surely lol. Watch Taggart and you will see lmao I have a Scottish surname although my father was from Belfast many Scottish families were in Northern Ireland. Kerry aka Miss UK has Scots in her.

Look it up. Its still going its a popular Scottish crime drama on ITV. I love it. Its set in Glasgow. Some of the murders in Taggart are graphic. The original Taggart actor who played him died back in the 1990s but the newer boss is a take no shit kind of guy. I always love the way they say MURDER in Scottish accent.
