this could be a good starting point:

- always set proper mode:
- normal (target at distance min 40cm)
- macro (target at distance min 10cm and max 40cm)

- focus metering point is always at center of the viewfinder and always focus at desired object (http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/autofocus6.htm)

- sometimes it's even worth to block other visible elements during focus process. move solid color area (ex. paper) behind object, focus and then remove paper

- use manual focus. if you want take precise macro then set macro + zoom 4.0 + preview at zoom x16 and then move camera to the object or from the object to find the best sharpness

- it's good idea to use spot photometry which can help to exhibit object

- AF works much better with good contrast area and don't work on some surfaces which tends to be solid/uniform

- if your hand is unstable during press from half to full-shuter then enable self-timer, focus on object then you have some time to reduce hand shake

- infinity mode is ideal for landscape (but i can approve that for Kriomag's camdrv where infinity is enabled in macro mode only)

Here's an auto macro taken with the BLKSnaker's 9.21, I hope he comes back and fixes the autofocus bug in macro shots

Somewhere i see a post that it say k810i has poor WB... i don't see poor WB anywhere...
I think the k750i, w800i and w810i at 2MP have a much better sharpeness from k800i and k810i

I know this topic is for k750,w800 and w810 so.. SORRY ABOUT THE OFFTOPIC!!!!

@Kopritis
OFF topic
My dad uses a k810i, and has some trouble with WB (i saw it too, compared to
my w750i). Anyways.. Is the k810i CID52? are you sure? (i wanted to know cid
since a while). about the poor wb.. try to take pix with the sun up high (12pm) or with the sun left/right to you. Also i noticed that taking pix of leafs, it's too bright (all with AUTO function, no EV change!), and not that clear. I didn't understand what you tryed to say... pictures with k800/810 or k750i/800/810 are sharper??

@Kopritis
some links with tests (1st. n95i vs. k810i and 2nd. k800 vs k810i)
http://www.planete-nokia.com/phpBB2/index.php?showtopic=42932
http://www.gophone.com.tw/report_player_content.jsp?sn=0705240004

Whats the CID of a k800i? It's different than k810i??
