yes,ppu is to offload physics from cpu.but its worthless to spend 250+$ on something that no game (well ,no mainstream) game support (yet).
and dual core can crunch enough physics for you.
and btw i want to know if cracked lcd come under warranty?

depends, dell will examine the lcd and if they "think" that it was caused by user abuse then no coverage. else full coverage.
have read some reports bout the batt overheating problem in dell inspirons causing lcd cracking and dell not replacing the lcd under the warranty.

@govi : i donno man.. i somehow didnt like the k790.. i found it too bulky for its features..
@dr_thug : i beg to differ mate, imho the p990 is now an outdated phone with an old camera, old music player software, old bluetooth class. It was cutting edge when conceptualised but by the time it reached the masses, its seems to have lost its sheen..

@asfaq, i agree... The P990 seems outdated already... I hope there's a "sequel" released soon. The WM devices seems to be much more advanced...

@whizkidd : which WM do u recommend? i dont have any clue about them.. the only one that comes to mind is the O2 Mini XDA.. any thing better?

mrao : i need to use the office apps, a pdf reader, video files should play wma and the other syandard formats like mpeg, mpg, avi, 3gp, ogg, mp3 etc. It HAS to have a decent camera (atleast 2MP or above) cuz i go out a lot for my biking trips, it's OS/firmware should be updateable via the net or 'over the air', oh and it should be able to make and recieve calls and sms

@asfaq...in that case the O2 Atom or the Imate Jamin fits your requirement...these models have all that youve specified plus wifi  and the best cam ive seen so far in wm devices.
@all...p990i avbl freely at heera panna, mumbai for 32k to 34k
@thugs...the pseries supports all office doc formats via installation of 3rd party software as quickoffice or docs to go. as far as video 9s concerned..p series can play 3gp, mp4 & avi(smartmovie player reqd)... no support afaik for wma or wmv o... i prefer wm devices as tcpmp player for wm, supports all known audio and video
