Just saw a thread of fatlty t66. Has any of u got the same problem? Once /// gave a new one instead of repaire it.

don't have problems with my T66 or SE version of it

are any T66s that say ericsson on the back and not SE just i have never seen any?

Weird, that the radio apart illness was mainly in t66 and t39, in all the other models not that often.

The T28 was the first with the problem. I knew a couple of people who had the fault. The problem lies where Ericsson put the RF chip behind the "no" button. This is the button tha gets pressed the hardest to turn the phone on and off. It therefore ends up pushing the chip away from the PCB. I did here of a remedy of using a heat gun to help make thw solder softer and helping the chip stick back to the board, but I have never tried it myself.

@jc thx for the info. But how comes that other models dont have it so often, just the 2 mentioned ones? What about 320, 520 etc? How could /// make such a mistake?

I have heard of it happening with the T28, T29, T66 and T39. It may affect others but I dont know. If you consider the phones ,entioned, they are all around the same size. The R320, R520 etc are quite a bit bigger so the chip could be in a different place or the board wont bend out as far as on the other phones.

That sounds logical. But hasnt it been placed rather next to aerial? Do u have iat10?

Most IAT-10 I've seen on eBay are from German sellers. Look after them !
Apple Ericsson would have been better !  T28 WORLD and... T39 again !!! |

He worked on EVIC, that was a Ericsson repair center. In that time it was normal to take several pieces and phone to your home.
And, because he's not a Ericsson fan like we are here, he just wants to sell it. And I want to buy his whole collection. Only piece by piece. Don't have the money to buy everything in once
This is his collection that I will buy from him. The once with a red cross are the once that I won't buy. Someone intrested?

Personally i didnt notice better rec with iat,but it fits great any models it can be used with.

Is that a R320s Titan on the right of the second pic or is it the green R380? Both are pretty rare.
