yes of course a bit expansive... but at least it is possible to get it for free ^^ even if more people are going to get it with a 35 monthly rental and get the X1 for like 150-160. |

The questions was about 3D hardware acceleration for fast drawing graphics.
Accelerometer in a phone is a $2 device that mesures the tilt angle.
However a REAL ACCELEROMETER is a complex device tha calculates gravity force and acceleration speeds. Used in navegation, aircraft etc.
So Xperia has 3D acceleration? YES
Xperia has phone accelerometer? MY guess is NO, despite GSM arena say yes.
The last accelerometer I bought was for a "Pro Stock" Drag Racing Motorcycle team and that cost about $1000! without the data logger. Nah X1 will definitly not have an accelerometer.
And for anyone who cares the Oxygen sensors X4 were $2000 EACH and this is without the lateral G monitors another $1000 a pop and all the other kit.

Called in Carphone Warehouse on the way home from work, tonight.
I just asked if they heard any solid date for X1 stock, and was told 1st week in October, but they seem to think Orange will have exclusivity for the first month or so.
Anyone here (UK) know anything about that?
I really need to stay with 02, cos a) the reception is best of all the networks where i work (Cheshire), and b) I have 02 broadband, and get a discount for being an 02 phone customer.
Please someone, say it aint Orange exclusive!
I had a call from our Vodafone business account manager offering us the X1 so I would say it is def NOT an Orange exclusive. Just Orange and CPW mucking us all about a bit

Thanks, people, for your info.
I rest a little easier now.
I'm not really that impatient for this phone, but its been a long wait from February! hehe.
Just a couple more weeks to go! (hopefully).

Been playing with my X1 for some hours now and I found out I don't really like the WinMobile. A bit to difficult and not so user-friendly. Will test som days and see if I get used to it, but will probably be up for sale soon.

I just pre-ordered mine from expansys.com yesterday (thanks to Whybe for the recommendation).
It's 497.86GBP (about $880USD) for the phone.
I think that's a good price!!
Seeing how mobilecityonline.com has the phone for pre-order for $999.99USD |

@NimmyxHuynh: $880USD is lots of money. Hope it won’t turn down as like P990i. |

What you doing here with your post is plain wrong my friend.
The one thing you try to accomplish is to mock and it fails badly since said Q4 and it is getting released last day of Q3.

I notice you are in Sweden is this phone freely available there, or have you got pre release access?
What is the main problem?
