hey guys can anyone help me configure your-freedom!
the thing is tat it stucks at the configuration step where it says
"requesting hint page for direct server"

You have to specify both Proxy server and Freedom server manually.

hi friends got a reply from airtel. When asked about edge they said that they where concentrating on an advanced network upgrade. They said they are in the licensing phase of 3g UMTS network and will probably launch it at Q1 of next year. What suprised me was that they where looking forward to cover upto 80% of their network!! Which is very good news for we people living in the suburbs. They said that they have already engaged into a contract with telecom equipment provider giant "Ericsson" for about 2billion us$. Well this concludes that they won't upgrade to edge but jump directly to 3g. I hope they will introduce an unlimited plan just like the mobile office. Otherwise no one would opt for it especially in india. BTW guys what is this "HOTBIRD" ????? Is it a satellite what is its use to us??? |

@alan aren't the hotbird satellites under our horizon?
Looks like the only people in india who can tune into hotbird 7a are from gujarat, rajasthan, J&K

kya speed hai maa kasamm jst use edge fone lik 6233 speeds rok mann i get cncn speed upto 240kbps here n dwnload 24-30 kbps,bt i get thru the firewall with great pains n rarely |

@jack I tried hard to catch hotbird 4 signal back in 2000 when I bought my first digital receiver, but after a lot of research and wasted time I gave up. I'm not into bird watching anymore  .
