I love the focus on the one of your building.. was that using spot photography to put the leaf in focus and the building blurred by any chance?

i think what he did was just to focus on the leaf/leaves, then the auto focus will definitely do its job.
try it sometime. it really works

Alton Towers yesterday. White balance set to daylight. Everything else switched off.
