When you pay 700 euro for a device i expect it to be perfect, specially when it comes from a brand like Sony.

I have changed the device because the dust has moved over the lens..... In 2 days. So chill man...

Evrey te you move your device you will get white lines running on the edge of the display... gaps between the lcd and the phone.. It's really a pain in the ass

I'm with Sponse on that and that's the reason I only enjoyed Z1 for a day.
After enjoying the aesthetic part of the phone, I just felt sad.
I was the unlucky one to get a "faulty" display and therefore, I decided to drop Sony once again.

Ever since I read about the display lottery, I have been very dubious in getting the Xperia Z1.

so i just splurged on a new set of components to upgrade my PC. it'll be fairly high end (though not ultra high end), which is really exciting cause i'll be able to really play with the photos from my Z1 finally! (my current setup just doesn't have the power to run photoshop with any real speed)

i am poor .. again.

also, i agree with the sentiments. i don't think there are perfect phones, but manufacturing defects need to be nonexistent, especially on parts that are being advertised as top notch.

it's hard to see from the pics what sponse is not liking, but if he doesn't like it, that's all that matters. i say take it back, look at the new device before you even take it home and make sure you're happy

its the end of the lcd, under direct light you will start seeing lines running at the edge of it !
it's almost impossible to show it on a photo
the store don't want to exchange my phone, i will have to take it to the warranty... so if they will approve the defect i will be without my brand new z1 for 2 weeks. wow

wow 2 weeks! that sucks.

i can't believe the store won't exchange your phone for you.. that seems like bad service. for them, it's much easier to just send something back to the manufacturer than it is for you to do a warranty claim. and it shows good customer service which will make you a repeat customer and i'm sure, encourage you to tell others to shop there too.

bad business on their part.

good luck with your claim sponse. as i've said before, i am sad that there have been so many QC issues with the Z1 considering it is from sony and its their flagship device. i guess i have REALLY lucked out with mine or i simply don't notice any defects that may exist. either way, i'm very happy.

I'm happy with the battery life. Admittedly, I've not used the phone much the last couple of days - but it's approaching 48 hours since I took it off charge and there 58% left. The stamina mode is amazing.

i have noticed that the demo unit had the same issue...
