Yea,667Mhz fsb will help.Hp dv 2025 is ok,but it isnt any special.
and regarding gma950,if u do some serious gaming,its basically useless (compatibility issues not to say about performance) and it dont support much video acceralation as i know (likes of h.264) which i think is quite important for future.

I just came across a kerala board 10th IT textbook today and was blown away. They're teaching advanced linux including tex and latex and open source apps like openoffice and gnome. Has Indian school education advanced this much?
@aragorn what smileys?

i just realized something: i could use my 6670 as a web cam if in a desperate situation
also, should i opt for 7200rpm hdd? I remember you saying it made a big difference, along with the fsb.
Dell offers complete customization, but at the cost of having to wait till it gets imported.
Which would be better? The dell 6400 or a100? Both are about the same price, with 256 mb vram. |

Dont forget that intel gma leeches the 256M(or whatever you configure it to) for its operation from your RAM as its an onboard solution,whereas standalone has its own memory.
7200rpm hdd can bring about noticable performance improvement.

Niru...Thank god U r not going 4 the GMA...also HP had a back up issue when I last had a go at it...Toshiba A100 is far better than Dell 6400 cause it has a better GFX card 7600/X1600 256 dedicated compared 2 6400's X1400 256 Hyper (meaning 128 will be dedicated n another 128 will be shared) n the 6400 also has some battery issues.
All the abv is imo...now see what the Xperts say abt diff laptops here. On the left collum R the diff laptops...click 2 get the review...the link I posted is 4 a diff A100 than mine (mine's A100-237 with 1.83GHz core duo, 80GB SATA HDD & X1600 instead of the reviewed 2.0GHz, 7600 120GB HDD) but the looks n every thing else r the same...ofcouse I added 1 GB of RAM 2 make it 1.5GB.
Also check the diff GFX Cards n what they can do here.
I'll say go 4 the A100 but make sure its got either the X1600 or the 7600 GFX Card...oh ya A100 give the a better cooling than the 6400 which is a must 4 hot climate like bombays. |
