Are you blind? It looks more like a BB Thunder/Storm to me(due to the keys below). You know touch screens were out before the iPhone, and basically HTC have been making touch screens long before Apple even considered putting together a phone .

So any phone is a competitor to the X1? That's a pretty low opinion you have of the X1...

Would video quality still be just as good on the X1a as it is on the X1i even if it's 6fps less?

X1a records video in ((QVGA@24fps )) so yes you will clearly notice the resolution difference... 30~24fps are often the same in playback.

Oh ok, so when video recording, then there's a big difference but playing back, there's minimal difference?

Also, what about the processor? what's the difference between 7200 and 7201?

My question is... are the 3G band support different between the two versions? if the X1i still supports american 3G then i'd rather get that .. why bother getting the X1a.

@Nimmyxhuynh:
The difference is the video recording.
X1a: records at QVGA(320x240)--24fps--no h.264
X1i: records at VGA(640x480)--30fps--h.264@15fps

also:
the supported HSPA (3G) frequencies are different: X1i has a 900MHz band instead of an 850MHz band (X1a)
X1i: (900/1900/2100)
X1a: (850/1900/2100)

1900MHz is the prevalent 3G band for AT&T U.S. but they also use 850MHz in some places also (This is the risk of getting the X1i in the U.S.--you may lose 3G capability in parts of the country).

I believe the different processors dictate the differences in video, but, I don't think the processor affects which frequencies are supported. Someone correct if wrong.

You'll have to wait for the subsidized X1a from AT&T. Supposedly it'll be $499 this January.
