so may be it could be normal and i have nothing worry about. howver i have other problems...... i see no differnce in the battery life in the new r2aa firmware.... shouldnt the battery life last more than a day?? and shouldnt the photos be full screen as people suggest in the new firmware?? its only full screen if put on slide show mode. . .
i dont know, but i definately have the r2aa firmware put on last night. everything else is very gd tho, like icons and mp3 ringtone business is sweet, but i thought the problems of battery life should be rectified and the photos should be full size like people said....
if this is true, i really need some answers for this.

I can only tell you my experiences with R2L... There is a small differenece in battery life, but not that noticable... During the weekends the battery would last for 2 - 3 days. But I am almost not touching my phone during that time. But all the other days when I text a lot, have at least 1 hour of talk time and HBH600 Bluetooth turned on the whole day, battery is done til 8 pm. So that's only 12 hours of standby if I took it of from charger at 8 am. I can livwe with that... Or I have to live with that...
About the pictures.. I can see them fullscreen if I enter slideshow and if they are at least 176x220 px... If they are smaller they won't be fullscreen...

i c. its jus the way ppl go on about the battery life on this forum "i updated to the latest firmware and ithe battery life is amaazing".....
as for the photos, i noticed that in slide show mode, the photos automatically rotate to avoid black bars. nice feature. anyways things that are annoying about the phone are balanced out by the aww eye candy of the icons. i cannot get enuff of them man. its so nice and smooth and faster. and nice. yes it does stutter if moved very quickly but i can live with that, cos i ll jus navigate slow for it to appreciate its smoothness.

I've just de-branded my K700i with v.1.29. All worked perfekt and all brandings are gone. So i tried if the SE update service now will work but i get the same message "blabla your operator is not supported". Why????

Total Server 1.30 realesed... There is nice help file inside the program (press ? after you choose the phone in drop down list) that is now redone and not confusing.

I think you'd need to unlock the phone in order to use the SonyEricsson online update service. De-branding alone is not enough. |

i assume it is not possibe to debrand/update with a bluetooth dongle...
correct?
anyone tried? i ask as you can tie a bluetooth connection to a virtual serial port...

I've sucessfully debranded my k700i (it was switzerland orange branded)
But the SE online update service still doesent work (the message that it don't work with my operator).
Is my K700i locked?
In the Simlock menü i have these:
network (open lock) 5
network subnet (open lock) 5
Service Provider (open lock) 5
Corporate (openlock) 5
ESL (openlock) 5
It would be nice if someone could help me.

Hi all, I think the reason you can not upgrade your phone with SE US is because you have newer version of software R2AA and the one available there is R2L. Hope this helps Velimir

I remember reading somewhere that SE has also blocked use of the Online Update service by IMEI number (e.g. IMEI's that it knows have gone to your operator may be blocked) as well as Customisation. If this is true (and knowing my memory that is far from guaranteed) then it will not be possible to use the SE update service on your phone.
Can anyone confirm/support this?

@shush, sounds ilke you may have a faulty battery or you just use it 24/7?
either way i just got a new higher capicity battery ( 1100mah) and it works a treat.
So far 3 days after charging its still 3/4 charged and i have used the phone alot more to try and see how much it can take animated theme, bluetooth on, the lot
