Not quite sure if this has been answered on this thread but, is the k500i even compatible with R2AE?

Can anybody else confirm this ? Is it reliable to use the online update service ? I remember we used to have some corruption issues before... |

@MeG:
I have tested it, and I cannot confirm this. I got R2L001 (again) 20 minutes ago.
@iamcrunchie:
I have EU1 firmware and EU4 customization. What is your data?
Did you just fool me?

Nope, I think is still R2L. Is better go to the service center to update, safe. I believe most of you is still under warranty |

I'm on R2AA003 and it takes over 2 seconds when dialing a contact.. I mean from the time I hit send the screen freezes for 2.5 seconds then I see the Calling screen!
this seems excessive! Others seeing this bug? Anyway to correct or lower the time???
thanks!

You will find SE change the firmware on there a lot. Some people had managed to get R2AA from there when it came out a few months ago. Not sure for their reason behind this though! |

on R2AE EU1, when dialing out a contact that has a p and additional numbers example: +18001234567p1334445555, sometimes the phone sends out the tones immediatly, sometimes it hangs for about 10 seconds and then sends them. Has anybody had anything like this happenend? |

Updated the first post to note that Asian versions of R2AE (and possibly R2AA) have the quicksearch facility disabled. Thanks to ~DC:UK~ for the research!! |

Apparently SE are using their service centres as guinea pigs for R2AE003 as if anything goes wrong with it, they are the best people to fix the phones. If all goes well with the service centres then they will update the online update side of things.....Not sure how long this will take. Shame we don't have some SE staff as members of this forum as their inside knowledge would be very useful !! |

I have asked this question before. This problem exists on R2A and R2L too. I wish SE would sort this delay out... |
