YAY! The Brando Screen Protector I ordered from Brando Workshop in Hong Kong just arrived (and yes, I know na meron na nito sa Greenhills Theatre Mall kaya lang too late na nung nalaman ko eh... ).
Grabe ang laki nga ng kaibahan from other protectors! And dali ikabit and talagang walang bubbles na nagfoform because its also thicker than generic protectors.
Now I can play and jot as frequently as I like! And even use my fingers / nails during those times when I just want to unlock the virtual keypad (don't have the keypad attached) and nothing else. |

Hi. Can you guys help me here? How does one distinguish the difference from a dead pixel and a spec of dust? The lower portion of my P800 sa left side has a tiny white dot when i had my unit replaced from semicon. Now am worried all the while i made myself believe it was just dust. But what if it aint.

Simple... turn off your P800, and shine a flashlight on the screen. You'll still see a spec if its dust. Good luck! I hope it's not a dead pixel. |

Hi guys. Is brando screen protector worth the 400 bucks? |
WWJD? Joined: Feb 13, 2003 Posts: 27 PM |
yup the brando is definitely worth it, of course a naked screen is still better in terms of clarity and sharpness but not by that much, Having the screen protector there gives you the peace of mind that you wont be scratching your screen anytime soon |

@619,
Ordered mine from Brando Workshop located in Hong-Kong for $12 kasama na shipping... (http://shop.brando.com.hk/screenprotector.php)
Order was processed on a Monday, ngayong Saturday nakuha ko na! Cool service!
Pero meron na din daw dito at Greenhills Theatre Mall, Games & Gadgets for P400. Mas mura dito kasi wala nang shipping charges eh (the envelope with which my Brando was delivered had a $3 stamp on it).
@jomni,
Its worth it lalo na when you've tried other screen protectors already. Others are VERY DIFFICULT to apply without bubbles forming (mapapamura ka talaga, I'm telling you ). I was skeptical about this Brando one at first because it also has a "sticky" side like other generic ones. Pero when I applied it on my P800, walang kahit anong bubbles na nagform! I was impressed immediately!
Also, Brando's are thicker meaning that they will last longer than others. You will notice that other protectors give you 10 - 12 pieces in one package. That's because they tell you that it's ideal to replace it every month! After a month of usage, scratches and marks already are visible in these protectors. Also, the sticky pastes also wear off after a month. But the Brando ones, only ONE is included in the package. Why? Because it's expected to be the LAST protector that you will ever attach to your screen. It's scratch-proof, thicker (so no marks from the keypad after repeated usage), removable, and washable (without the stick side not wearing out after!).
The only downside is it lessens the vibrancy of the P800's display, because of its anti-glare & anti-reflection properties. But only for so little that after a while, you're not going to notice it at all anymore.
These all, and the fact that it's already pre-cut and perfect for your P800 screen, makes me doubt that you're going to need any other protector!
Hope I helped. |

i got my P800 upgraded
Phone R1D
BlueTooth R2C
Organizer R1G05
CDA R2A04
a file, C:\SlopFile.ini, keeps appearing on the P800...
i've deleted this file but it just keeps coming back...
i would have ignored it, but it's size is 256kb...
it takes way too much space and the content is a repeating set of characters: '1234567890abcdef'
does anyone know what this file is for, and what's it doing in my P800 after the upgrade?
