Hi guys, just got this phone but theres a problem! When I TRY to take a picture indoors (with decent light) camera starts to horribly lag, like k750i in night mode but worse. It takes a lot of time to focus and take a picture + everything is a blur. However outside the camer is great, no slowdowns and the camera is super quick.

Is there something wrong with my phone or just the c702 is a big screwup?

have you using R3CA037? and are you sure not activating twilight landscape scene..?

if yes, may be it's something wrong with your phone. coz i don't have that problem on my C702 R3CA037
camera works good on indoor and outdoor.

try to reflash your phone using SEUS, my be it's only firmware issue

Do you have it in sports mode or automatic? Because I tried another phone at the shop but it was the same thing-slow camera!
Oh and after the fw update camera starts to make this weird sound inside the phone(at the camera area) when focusing and taking snap

The focus is indeed slower and if you dont hold the cam dead still it will blur easily, the shutter speed goes down to
1/5 due to some weird se engineering the viewfinder fps slows down when using longer shutter speeds, 1/5 is 5fps on the view finder means the autofocus also runs at 5fps.

same problem here- real slow focusing when indoors - aside from the firmware updates- has anyone found any tricks in the settings that would improve the speed of the focusing?

Turning of face recognition would be a start.

nothing weird if you're sampling image every 1/5s then you don't have more frames to display. you can only display sampled images. waiting for autofocus at this speed is not much comfortable

At the moment nothing can be done about the slow af, all se phones with autofocus do it, just the c702 uses longer shutter speeds so is slightly slower.

Well can't the AF speed be increased with camera driver (ok, once DB3150 modding comes worldwide )?

nope. been looking for the same earlier on, however was recommended to not even bother, as the housing is likely to have far more sealing rings and what not that need exact placing (due to it being water and dust resistant) and that it won be very easy to take it apart....

Candy bar style phones are the easyest to take apart normally just a few screws, sliders are the most difficult.

i just need to know how to remove the front keypad cover off. ive ordered one of these:

http://www.mobiltec24.de/inde[....]=singlearticle.php&ArtNr=21437

im guessing it just clips off, maybe i just have to slip one of those tools or knives through it to unclip it. hopefully thats all it is.

There normally clipped on, the clips tend to be one in the middle each side.
