Is it true that once you have unlocked it, simply connecting to itunes with an internet connection will lock the phone back up?

No, only if you update the firmware, but it asks you if you want to do this, just press no. You do not have to upgrade the firmware at all.

No I havent but they have a proper site not to mention 2 in store branches where you can get it done while you wait if you want. I think ones in Worcester and the other is on Regent St London Ill definaltey be using them though. Im going to buy the software but still get the initial unlock done instore (youb get discount if you buy the software) so i can see exactly how its done. Then for future updates ill do it myself at home ect.......Id rather pay £39.99 for an unlock than £600 for a contract.

I went into a CPW, had to queue. There were maybe 10 or so people in the que but for some reason the O2 shop accross the row had like 30 odd people waiting outside, not really sure why as its a smaller store.

Anyway loved the iphone its friggin brilliant! But one thing occured to me. I really want insurance with this phone and it seems the only way I can get ti is if I take out thye contract which im now debating.

Unless anyone here knows any other way I can get insurance?

Yeah i got one from the o2 shop, the queues were longer in o2. CPW was pretty empty at like 6:10. Ah well.

@bavlondon2

Have you tried looking at getting insurance via your bank? I get insurance for one phone and gadget with Barclays.

Also, iphoneunlockuk currently advise they'll be unlocking from tomorrow.
