The n95 will not accept a 4gb card. Like all the current Nokia phones it is limited to 2gb. Rumour has it the specs of the E90 have been changed to enable cards over 2gb.

the 4gb cards going round r SDHC cards and as such NO nokia that has been announced will accept these cards including the E90 as its specific hardware not software that dictates which cards are supported etc etc...

Hopefully they will announce some soon which accept them!

right, done some reading about SD vs SDHC and it seems its the same old story as duo and pro duo which I had not appreciated when I read about the launch of 4gb SDHC

surprised they didn't give the N95 SDHC compatibility though... bit of a dissapointment really when it has so much else to offer

So the N95 wont accept an SDHC? meaning, the N95 is stuck with 2gb only? maybe they can make a 4gb SD, or maybe its not possible, eh?

Hi all,

I did not think it would be possible as it is a hardware requirement not just software to run SDHC.

I should mention are you aware that you can hot swap memory cards by selecting remove memory card no need to re boot the phone. I am now using 4gd of storage with very little inconvenience and have card one with Doc's and some Video and Music and card 2 just has Music and Video's so if i want a particular Album or Film just swap cards it really is no big deal and both cards are read easily and quickly as are only 2gb. Well it works for me any way so just a suggestion.

oh well. I'm using a 2gb and was hanging out for 4gb but now this has come to light I've ordered a couple of 2gb for less than a 4gb would have cost anyway, so its not all bad news I guess

when is this crazy memory card world going to get its act together!

@Masseur,

That really is the $64,000 question, i recently paid just £14 delivered for a sealed 2gb Mini SD Sandisk card so i think it is quite a reasonable soloution as even in 160kbps ultra high quaility tracks average at just 4mb so plenty of space for loads of albums.

I don't think so i tried with T-Mobile on Saturday and quoted the 02 online price but unfortunately T-Mobile just can't get down to that sort of price much to my disappointment. Will just have to wait for my upgrade and get an E90 instead. LOL.

my exchanged N95 is solid. (no jiggly slide)

Both the old one and this one have never crashed.

When I used USB Mass storage mode, battery drained in around 2 hours.

Still trying to get the sat nav to work though. I made sure "GPRS when needed is off" and set it to GPS only. However I'm not gtting a full bar as people mentioned I should.

I just get a bar with some numbers, and then it says no data available.

That pisses me off a bit.

gps is working fine here but I really don't like the non charging USB as there is no sense in it these days

so I'm on the lookout for one of those USB sync charge cables that has the mini usb and charge plug coming out of sngle pc USB port.
