I don't even know what to upgrade in w950 :=P
-Maybe a little more stabile video player.
-Animated wallpapers.
The changelog of the new w850 fw claim that the music volume is louder and clearer, maybe they will do this on the w950.

i managed to get an animated wallpaper - made it myself with 4 images saved as animated gif. 20 images seemed to make it go mad and not work.
had to get replacement handset as bloody alarm would go off everyday at 0630, and the function to disable didn't exist - so not able to test at mo
will look for my gif and double check it and upload somewhere if people want. it is fhm magazine art.
[edit]i lied. it didn't work, but i'm positive it used to, though a master reset may have changed it so it no longer works[/edit]

Hi,
I have a problem with my w950i. I cannot seem to get the battery cover opened. Does any1 has a tip for this cause i need to replace my sim now my number transfer has been completed. |

hey guys,
I own a p990i which is a nice phone except some issues especially music player sound quality. However, I'm thinking on switching to w950i. Is it worth doing ? Also, is that difference in screen sizes so significant ?

Hi mate, i hav n use both,if u want 2 swap due 2 firmware instabilities, id say b patient. Not worth tht much unless u r a walkman fans. I miss the qwerty on my p990, the screen size really matters, though i find tht sharpness is cumin w950 way n its flat! |

when someone rings or texts me the music does not stop, the phone just makes some beeps barely able to hear. is there any way i can change this? |

I noticed the beeps too ! I tried everything but i can't remove it.
(Format, Restart, Take out the battery Etc.)
Maybe we will get the new firmware soon (I hope)... |

dought it new software will be soon. SE have just updated the p990i and m600i with the features of the w950i. also i hope they increase the volume too |

if it's anything like my w900, it needs to be put into silent mode to get the ringtone to go through headphones |

Hi,
Got a hold of my w950i a couple of weeks ago and Im very satisified with it.
Have noticed though that the to buttons on the left side of the phone, volume control- and play/stop- buttons arent affected by the keypad-lock. Which in turn can make the phone start playing loudly in my pocket. I minor thing, but still annoying. Anyone know how to fix this?

A question for W950 owners. Has anyone tried playing m4a files encoded with Media Encoder using Nero? My P990 doesn't manage to play these files (but it recognises them as music files) & I'm thinking of switching.
@Mr Nash: If your hands are slipping of the cover then I suggest washing your hands with soap and drying them, then immediately try to open the cover, eventually it will loosen and you'll have no more trouble opening it.
