Hi.But if they bring then will we have to subscribe for it or it will work in provided areas on old settings and packages.l mean as in the case of edge.we do not need separate package or settings

there are no settings for 3G, the phone automatically converts to 3G mode whenever its available |

ask ur friend that when it was happend, he was recieving full signals or there are no bars but only 3G sign? in my opinion sometimes when there is a problem in network and they stop there service or like when ur in a place when there is no coverage , 3G fones like 6630, 6680 N70 and so on, first looks for normal signals if it doesnot find any thing then it start looking for 3G and shows 3G sign.
and if he really recieving 3G with signal bars then, i read somewhere that 3G requirs a 3G USIM to work properly it will not work on normal sims. |

3G doesnt come when its searching for 3G, only when you're connected to 3G |

hi.i asked my friend and he says that signals were ok and there was a tiny 3G written right under the signal bar.gprs was not working for him in that time period and after an hour or so.3G sign disappeared and gprs started working.so every thing back to normal.today i called help line and asked about edge coverage and they say our edge is not official yet.so we cannot provide any information on coverage area

No...... U can see the attached pics. These screen shots are straight from my N73.
basicaly nokia's 3G fones have 3 options.... Dual Mode.... UMTS (3G) only.... GSM only..
by defualt Dual mode is selected. In this Mode fone searches for both 3G and GSM signals. So if GSM is not available then it searches for 3G and shows 3G. wich i think happend on that night with umerhayat's freind.
i think now u will undrstand my point.
let me give a battery saving tip for nokia users using nokia's 3G fones. In network settings select GSM in Network Mode. This will save alot of battery. Becuase it is useless to use Dual Mode becuase we still dont have 3G.

yep we even dont have EDGE properly, 3G is far away, according to Mobilink's CEO (begerat Bastrad) we(Pakistan) will not gonna have 3G until 4 - 5 years !!!! if this is the spirit of this so called largest mobile company of Pakistan than what u expect?
ah when the world will preparing to start 5G we then start 3G. These old bastards (Moblink & ufone) make Pakistan far behind the world.
But i hope inshaAllah Warid and especially Telenor will change this atmosphere. not in 4 - 5 years but in 2 years we will have 3G. |

hi all. i had got w300i and now w810i. both have edge support.so for last 5 or 6 month i see that warid has edge coverage in lhr.but its strange that why they donot announce it officially.when mobilink launched edge they covered area from marriot hotel to their head office in islamabad only and made big announcements that they have launched edge

Yeah as QVGA said brows at that time and tell us ur experiance.
May be they are testing it hard before launching which they should do not like this bastard Mobilink start the service after 1 or 2 tests. Now Even if u are in marriot which is supposed to be EDGE coverd and ur mobile is showing EDGE and u r not able browse.
Atleast this is happen to me and when i ask from them about this problem they said yes we are experiancig some technical problem and even today after 3months same problem!!!! |

warid gprs download speed when connected to desktop is 4-5kb/s . i will visit lhr after 15days then will post my personal experiance about speed in edge enabled area.but my friend inform me that he gets 12 to 16 kb/s
