I just got off the phone to Vodafone. They now have the phone in stock ready for delivery tomorrow. I phoned upgrades at first and was told I needed to pay £85. I then tried cancellations and was told the best they could do for me was £60 for the phone. May PAC code was also ordered from me. I'm not sure what to do now, whether to pay £60 for the phone or wait for the PAC code and go with O2.
Apparently I pay £30 a month for 200 minutes and 250 texts with this stop the clock thing.

My vodafone contract is £25 pcm - 200 minutes 250 texts
think your paying too much although i dont have that stop the clock thing???
i had to do an 18 mnth contract which i aint to keen on but bit the bullet for issues already raised.
My grumpy email has been sent to o2 complaints .
wonder what their response will be lol
you may wish to mention that they offered me the phone for £20 too, and im apparently on a cheaper contract than you. Fight fight fight fight lol.
Just reading trhu this topic i cant believe how o2 continue to get away with this shambolic customer service?? Lets go and protest outside their HQ

Just got this reply from O2....
Thank you for contacting O2 Customer Service.
I am sorry you received an automated email relating to your online Pay Monthly order.
I am sorry your order (gm-00*******) for the Sony Ericsson K800i is currently out of stock. We do not have a date when more stock will be available.
You now have two options:
1. Your phone will be sent to you on a priority basis when it becomes available.
2. You can cancel this order and order another phone from our current range. If you want to do this, please reply to this email and we will help you further.
Well thats just great. I'll give them over the weekend to sort it out. And then consider my options.

quick look on google shows Peter Erskine is the MD
and his email is
peter.erskine@o2.com
I'd copy in complaints@o2mail.co.uk as well to be sure someone picks it up.
I've just had yet another story from them that indicates they are in stock.
Do you know it is actually illegal in the UK to take money from someone for an item you don't actually have - regardless if you call it a pre-order or not.
Archaic law but nevertheless it's still there! |
