virtualdynamix...you may have something there my friend because I've been looking keenly into this bluetooth (bt) and battery problem with flashed phones. As in most cases with electronics (hardware and software), the firmware is always written in support of associated hardware. Such is the case with a hardware R6A phone and its associated firmware, perhaps R5C and R5D...we may need someone like funks to focus his data collection now on exact hardware revisions and its "original" firmware revision. That is, what did these phones come with "before" the flashing...then we can pair them up and perhaps find that there may be only 1 or 2 revisions per hardware version before a new hardware revision and associated firmware version is released. In fact, I firmly believe that this is the case. Therefore, we on this site and in this forum, who try to spread the info to others to help will have a more definitive concept in which to do so. I think what we'll end up with is a "list" of phones and their upgradeable firmware versions that will work only for that particular hardware revision. Other than that, someone who flashes their phone with firmware not applicable will do so at their own risk.
now what you guys think.

I'll write a webapp later today that will stick this info in a database and let people plug their info in.. At least it will be easier to keep it up to date..

MRJ82,

Many thanks for your reply.
That clears things up a lot.

I await a response as to your question about the most reliable server right now as I too would like to know.

funks,

Yes, we currently use the same unlock server. The server seems to be working properly over the last few days.

Thanks for the offer

I have emailed them at lest 3 times now with a request to purchase logs, and so far I have received no response.

I am not the concerned at the moment as I am quite willing to wait for the BT/Standby problem to be properly diagnosed/resolved first, but as I understand it the logs don;t expire and so I could purchas ethem now and use them anytime in the near future.....if only I could get a response.

I have found (from a link in this thread) others vendors that I could use however, so it's not really a big deal......just an observation.

He responded to my email, and added me on icq but he didnt answer me there, so I paid for 2 logs and I'm still waiting for my userid/pw, but I can't wait any longer got to go to work so I'll have to flash my phone afterwards, hopefully he will have emailed me by then, if so I'll flash it tonight and post results. I can't really test bluetooth though cuz I have no bluetooth devices. I don't know anyone with one either, I mean I live in south MS, its amazing we even have gsm coverage here!. hehe I'll check the forum on my phone at work.

I just got a reply from unlocking earlier today (was able to catch them on Messenger).. They stated that they had ISP problems and just gotten their "ericsony@unlocking.co.uk" e-mail address working..

You guys might want to try e-mailing them again at ericsony@unlocking.co.uk

I'm hoping that they are working on sorting out their proboems..

Well funks the way its looking, I'm not holding my breathe for unlocKing. I paid for my logs and now I'm waiting to recieve them. Its starting to look like I'm not going to flash my phone until tomorrow. No big deal, I've waited this long to get it done I can wait a little longer.

Does anybody know what the latest T68i hardware rev out there is?

Is the hardware rev specific to a carrier?

For example

My Cingular T68i (02W28) = R5A
AT&T T68i = R6B

If that's the case, it might be worth a try to update an R6B (malaysia) with the same manufacture date (eq, 02W28) as a non R6B (malaysia).

Does anybody here have a 02W28 non Carrier branded T68i?

@stuburgess, I'd try downloading another verison of it, otherwise I don't know what to tell you. I still haven't heard from unlocKing on my logs, I've tried all his email addresses.
