No no....absolutely not.

In fact , it is not even a new method.

The Hyperterminal part is just to create a NEW APN on your mobile through
the terminal emulator (at machine level)

I gave this method because some mobiles do not seem respond properly to APNs created manually. And they should , because , CIDs are attached to APNs.

Let me explain more clearly,

The APN to CID mapping is defined through a special GPRS command called “cgdcont”. In Microsoft’s operating systems, that definition can be carried out as an extra dial string in setting up Dial-up Networking. This can also be done DIRECTLY via AT commands from a terminal emulator.

So if you have TWO APNs you must be able to dial *99***2# . But that does not appear to be the case with some mobiles.

I tried as Alan said. Now I can connect with his method also but my problem is for Proxy server. I m in JBP/MP and yesterday at 5:30 pm i connect net with *99***1# in proxy setting 100.1.200.99/8080, its connect very well i can surf and download Easily without any disturbance. At 9:30 pm its getting problem to continue signle when i disconnected and connect next time it cant open pages, show error box. After that i set proxy 100.1.200.16/80 but it also very slow and never open any page.

Now today morning at 7:00 am i connect with proxy 100.1.200.99/8080 it show same error but 100.1.200.16/80 i can open webpage with better download speed i can download also. So what u think what is the problem with me. is it proxy setting or server problem. I m serviceperson so i only able to surf at night but due to this problem i cant do that.

I typed command right but i have error.

Dear Guys,

Don't think that this GPRS is a full and reliable. At daytime, the proxy has high load of data transfer. Due to that, it sometimes unable to respond to all requests. That's why if you leave it idle for 1 min, it becomes idle and you have to disconnect and reconnect. The best method to get rid from this problem is you should not leave it idle. You have to browse continuously. I had this problem with my 6600. But now after 6630, this problem is solved and now I can leave my connection idle.

I suggest you all to use 100.1.200.99:8080 as it seems to be good.

I have seen that the large file downloading problem arises only in Morning time(when speedis very good). Yesterday night, I downloaded 4 MB file at 6KB speed. But the same file is not downloading at morning time. I get that proxy error. So I think in some servers, Airtel has blocked large file downloads.

Strange..... I never seem to have any problems.

1) I always have good speeds ( avg. 4 - 6 KBps)

2) Can download files of any size at all times ( even with browsers,
Rapidshare does not allow Download Managers)

3) I don't get disconnected ( however the data transfers just stops for a few seconds sometimes, maybe a minute, and I wait till it comes back)

So what I reckon is that, these problems are localised.

However,

1) You CAN improve your speeds by changing the Req QoS

2) What mode have you set, is it WAP or HTTP (internet) ?

3) If you get disconnected frequently, you may try keepalive softwares. If you don't get disconnected but data transfer stops, just wait for a few seconds ( or minutes) it will come back, I assure you.

thanks guys, today i met my lawyer friend, he says," it's illegal, if airtel finds it, they will suite a case aginst you". i am confused, please help me!.

i think we are not doing any thing illegal. it's a loop hole in airtel server.

Well.... in my opinion this is NOT ILLEGAL .

I would say it is the INCOMPETENCE on the part of AIRTEL to leave open such a glaring flaw.

Remember, we are not using any third party software to hack in, or stealing others accounts for our use.

IF Airtel comes to know of this FLAW the first thing they will do is try to close it down. I don't think they will file any lawsuits against anyone.

So cheer up Se7en
