On SE site it shows the P990 with and without the flip but i've been scanning every pic to see if the flip is removable and have been unable to see any way of removing it. Can anyone one confirm whether the flip is removable? |

I agree it looks great, however I think the guys hands are huge. He made the W900i look like a T610!

It should be removeable as easy as on P900 according to preliminary tests, but nobody yet explained the procedure |

Does anyone know how the WIFI software will work on P990? I my opinion, one of the main reasons for switch-over from P910 to P990 is to talk cheaper via VoIP (SKYPE or something similar). The software should be able to offer me to speak via VoIP first, if WIFI is available |

Flip is definitely removable. I, for one, will remove the flip just like I am doing that now for my P910i. Too bad esato doesn't provide a P910 avatar without the flip. Thus I have to make do with this one I'm using now. |

Not sure if this has been posted, but I have spoken to a mate in the CPW who has advised that the SE rep that visited had advised a mid Feb release of this phone (P990) along with the W900 at the same time.

I think most of us will be very happy if P990i will released on Dec 2005 or Jan 2006. SE have to work hard to get it out ASAP,there is a lot of us waiting to get it. |

At http://katching.se/ (can make a preorder, $ 810) they expect to get it February 28 but that can be changed of course. But this is in Sweden and "we" mostly get it on the market quite early compared to other countries:-)

Does anyone know the video capture resolution and frame rate of the P990i ?
Im hoping its the same as the W900i, and not the same as the K750i. It would be stupid of SE not to give the phone this, especially since its a superior device to the W900i.

It will never happen....the UIQ is still in beta testing not scheduled to be finished until Jan...so the phone wont come out till at least March, maybe even later!  |
