The sample photo is not good. EXIF shows the firmware level to be R1BA034.

I tell you one thing that is different on the C905 over other phones.. the speed of Bluetooth. As I transfer some photos to my office iMac, I am getting 180KB/s as against 35KB/s on an Omnia and about 90KB/s on other handsets.
That's pretty impressive if you opt to use Bluetooth to move files, or even browse the device.

SE are pretty speedy, but 180 kb/s is pretty darn fast!
Firmware also has an affect on this, so maybe int he future the c905 will be even faster.
Using my Macbook, my k850i before a firmware upgrade went about 80kb/s, now with the latest firmware i get 110kb/s |

The photo was taken with a flash burst at ISO 200, which partly may explain why it looks a bit out of focus (or if it is the noise reduction that kicks in, i don't know). However, shrunk down the photo looks OK.
Some better pictures here taken with R1BA030, some with better lighting condition.

You didn't feel to read a few posts back or checking the SE homepage? hehe
You only use the main camera as video call cam. You do the math

You can carry a small mirror in your other poked if you want to make video calls with the 905. Just don't let someone see you while making the phone call:D

Not sure I understand the question.. considering I just said I actually HAVE the X1 in front of me.
In fact, I have the Samsung Omnia, Palm Treo Pro and X1 in front of me. So, yes, I do use Windows Mobile a lot.
And that's why I said it (albeit as a joke!). Windows Mobile 6/6.1 is very poor and it's sad that WM 7 which should spruce it up a lot has been delayed.
I thought you were serious.
Imho WM is a stable and efficient OS now, atleast it is if you are careful about what thrid party software you use. If X1 is slow with panels I wouldn't blame WM itself. I've read elsewhere that X1 is otherwise quick and zippy.
Honestly if you've had a bad experience with WM then beats me because I've used quite a few myself and I find WM so far ahead of PPC 2003 and earlier that it's just not funny.
With such an amazing screen on the X1, it's crazy that in portrait mode you still have the usual WM on-screen keyboard and dialogue boxes that need pin-point precision (more so thanks to the now smaller windows and boxes on account of the screen res).
I agree. It's amissed opportunity to offer another competitive advantage over iphone. However there are third party full screen keyboards available.
Also, the WM inbuilt onscreen character input DOES support handwriting, which is important imho

Am not sure if this was asked or answered before, but what is the lens used in c905? The same qualitative plastic lens in k750 - k810? Or a new glass lens?

There is one big difference between Windows Mobile 2003 and later versions:
- WM2003 used NOR flash memory which supports XIP, i.e. programs can be run directly from the flash.
- WM5 and later uses NAND flash which behaves like a disk and doesn't support XIP, so the application has to be copied to RAM before execution. This is why there is always some lag when launching an application the first time. If the device has sufficient RAM, the (main part of the) application will remain cached in RAM, so the next time it is launched, it starts immediately.
If the X1 is faster in the demo videos than in real life then it's because they have already "prepped" the RAM by launching each demoed application once before shooting the demo video.
. . .
I like Windows Mobile but I don't yet find it "finger friendly". For most part it still requires a stylus, especially on device such as the X1 which has a very high resolution display. Try to do a copy and paste of a range of cells in Pocket Excel using your fingers on the touchscreen (no cheating with the stylus!) and you will see what I mean. Or try to configure all your favorite settings in the Control Panel without the stylus.
Another annoyance is that sorry piece of software they call ActiveSync. Microsoft should take a look at SE's and Nokia's PC suites for some inspiration.
Maybe this should be discussed in the X1 thread.

well right now I can't decide.
I saw the C702 in person today - I must tell you, it looks better than it does in photos.
So yeah, I have to decide on c905 or c702.
C905 has wifi and better camera, but C702 costs less and has the waterproof thing. What do you guys think

"should" be? Don't we have info on the lens used?
If indeed it is glass, could it be the SONY lens?
