From last 4 days, MO speed has gone down. Now its only 4.2kB/s(Earlier it was 5.5kB/s). Same goes with Free GPRS.

@ all nebody xperience free gprs speed today? ? m getting an unbeliveble dwnload speed of 10-13 whth my sek500i while there is edge in haryana yet.

geting this unblivable speed .bt yaar brwsing speed is still almost dead bt once ur dwnloding hs started then u cn dwnload at full speed n great thing is dis nw brsing SPEED also bcmes great..

SSL is not working through NOP over here..
Also after selecting the SSL tunneling in Wingate, Flash Get and Getright both display "Error Ocurred"
Also, in opera I get an error
"Socket Error
SSLTunnelling connect to www.redi**.com:80 failed - bad response from HTTP server" if i use SSL tunneling.. but it works fine on cascaded settings..

yaar, if u are getting more than 10kB/s, then its great. I'm not even getting 5kB/s correctly during downloads. But browsing speed is good. Pages are loading very fast(like broadband). I'm using MO.(my MO subscription will expire tomorrow)
I think u should check the download speed during morning(b/w 6am to 8am). You should get more than 15kB/s. Bcoz in that time, I'm getting 6kB/s.
About EDGE, you should wait and see for 2 more days. If speed remains same(>10kB/s) then its surely EDGE.

The airtel broadband IP u had mentioned is not a REAL IP. its a LAN ip . so ur internet is sort of LAN based. In such cases, u cant set up a web server even if u try Dynamic DNS services like no-ip.com , etc . To confirm this visit www.formyip.com and I think ur ip will be detected as 172.16.0.1 . If airtel offers port forwarding, then u can get it to work somehow but i doubt that. Perhaps u could call up airtel CC regarding this. One easy application to set up web server with port forwards is Easy file sharing webserver.

I m glad it works for you  . Btw, u can bypass the xml errors if u browse via YF. Use the http port of YF in ur browser (localhost:8080)

Its sad that NOP doesnt offer SSL at ur place. But u can boldly complain to CC regarding this as u pay for it. The CC is useless, so its better to write a mail to airtel nodal officer.

b/w if u want cheaper call rates, then go for Spice(There are special plans for college students. eg:-Manipal Offer(sp2sp-10ps,sp2other-40ps,sp2landline-1re,1ps/msg,no rent)).

I'll be in bangalore on 27th.
I dont want to face network busy, congestion, lines busy, poor network coverage (bangalore city), poor connectivity, so keeping all these points in mind suggest me the best. I wont be going out of bangalore city.
How is hutch in bangalore? in my area it is worst since last 1years, always network busy problem during evenings.
Can u pls give me the tariff of spice, airtel and hutch. ur talking of postpaid or prepaid? i think i will go with prepaid. what do u mean to say by airtel is costly???
Hey what abt gprs service? what is the rental of MO in bangalore? are ther any mo cards in bangalore? cheapest Internet gprs provider in bangalore?

I'm using NOP, Im able to browse Everything Browsing speedz good @all Times except 8-11pm speedz r pathetic downloads dont work @ all
but wingate works 4me!!
Try Connecting@7-8am
speedz r blazing @2-6am
i get download speedz around 18kb/sec
Day i get around 10-13kb/sec
But 13 iz ta avg speed i get
dont know bout other regions but ssl with wingate works in bangalore 4sure |
