Plank my dear man - you 'never miss a shot' - nor do you ever get a poor picture with the K850i - well, I salute you my Swedish counterpart (I IKEA) - well done, keep fighting the Good fight - and to answer your last question - no, the Sensors in the K850i/SO905iCS are not the same...(^-^*)

Yes I edit photos with GIMP. I do not hide this fact. I normally put that fact in the post. I apologize for forgetting on this one. There is nothing wrong with tweaking a photo to make it look better. On this one I played with the levels and contrast, and added a vignette. Thanks for the compliments.
GIMP or any photo editor cannot take a crappy photo and save it. It must have good sharpness and resolution before it can be enhanced. Also, a good photo starts with a good composition, quality of camera is second in line to what you point it at. |

Plankaton - You do not need to respond to that assanine remark.
Plank has never been misleading with his photos.
I still don't understand this battle to prove the camera quality one way or another. Just look at the photos being posted here.
You either like what can be done with the phone, or you don't. I believe my photos show that with a little level tweaking in post-production, this phone can make some great if not amazing photos. If you hate or don't understand photo editors, and don't like the quality of the raw images, then you may not be as happy with the phone. Ask any photographer if they edit their photos, I can save you the time, yes - always. It is rare for even a high end camera to give you a perfect picture without editing.
Just because it is digital, doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to play with the processing, just as we did with film in the dark room.
Ugh, let's just look at pictures and shut up. |
