Eldar:

The most logical buyer through this partnership is Sony. I like how the president of SE called the X1 an "experiment". SE require great number of "experiments". More seriously though, the comments that ericsson has made on this tight situation, but is willing to invest money, numbers do not sell there share. The company is still worse than the vision of, for example me.
Q-But what about the Motorola situation? We have nothing. In general, would it be sad is such players such as SE & Motorola just go with the chess board??
A-Motorola models from the end of this year, very much depends on companys future. It is sad that the market is changing so much.
Q-Now are Sony and Ericcson likley to spend the rest of there short life together in small disputes from each other??
A-Ericsson and Sony have accused each other.
Q-But who else is using the platform by sony ericsson? If ericsson goes, to whom can they offer what is now sony ericsson?
A-They can offer there hardware to everyone, nokia, samsung etc. Nobody would be intrested, they did offer to sell it to Nokia, and they refused, about a month ago. Given that Se bases it models on Nokia UI, what is the purpose of buying there own development?

So...no one is paying attention to this? Really really sad. It seems my feelings were correct...i loosed interest on SE, because things are really going down...what once was a great company is no more, and will be dead soon.
Well, there's no source of it - I don't know who was making this conversation so hard to confirm it's credibility in any way.
And Eldar's opinion is the last I read, half of his reviews are crap. |

Watch it become the highlight of an HD phone by SE. And to be really mean watch it fail due to shitty build quality like the C905 at first. |

Copy and paste from Eomer at M-R
"X2 this year, yes. Improved specs, good for Trekkies. Ha Ha.
OSE touch screen this year also - good specs.
Plus Idou too.
SEMC's challenge is to
(a) take these devices and spin the baselines into daughter phones quickly.
(b) differentiate sufficiently through added value through things like PlayNow and add an App Store; having on-device access to Facebook, Twitter, Youtube is fine but everyone else is already doing this. Very few people are getting the same level of user experince on web 2.0 as Apple. The N97 is having a good stab it though along with Ovi Store.
(c) Deliver some s/w stability to the customer, too many SEMC products have had very profile s/w issues."
OSE touch screen...could it be 8.3 mp candybar phone??

I'm sort of hoping the OSE touch screen is implemented in the same way as the G900, and not full touch screen without a keypad .
It would be good to see touch-focus etc |

yes goldenface,
i really hope the OSE is a candybar phone, with 8mp hd recording video, 3 inch screen with a normal keypad.metalic body will complete it....and of course with xenon n led but keep it thin as C901...SE should be able to make a thin xenon phone as other competitor refuse to...

OSE is the abbreviation of their feature phone software platform (ie. OS on W760, C905, C902, etc.) |

Oooh, I gotcha, so it's the feature phone's OS. It would be good to see a non smart phone touch screen device, then again will the OSE be based on Linux like some of them are? |

OSE = Operating System ENEA
http://enea.com/
"ST-Ericsson - In 2008 Enea supplied software to about 400 million new mobiles, primarily 3G-phones. A Swedish flagship! Ericsson has deployed Enea’s real-time operating system Enea OSE in its mobile platforms since 1990." |

I hope the touch screen OSE from SE isnt high end. I prefer them to bring out a few mid range devices and then plunging for the high end. |
