hi there!
i noticed, that when u use a blokia to BJ, its easier to send a note to the other phone, rather then a contact. when we tried, a txt doc came to my phone, with the msg. but when sending a note from my SE to the blokia (i guess 6630) it wasn readable.
after this, i checked the filemanager/others section of my phone and noticed that the txt file is right there, and i can modify/send it. i hadnt got time to try this, but if any of you can help me: try to send this txt to a blokia, and check if its readable. i think its better then sending a contact.
regards, nolimits
edit1: i've managed to try with my pda, and you have to put the msg into the name of the file like: "buy SE!!!.txt"

Today at Starbucks I did a search and found a T650. There was a guy playing with his phone and it looked like a K700 with a external short antenna on the left side, so I don't know what phone it was. Anyway I send the standard "You have been bluejacked". So he looked around baffled. Then I tried to send "Congratulations, you won a free coffee" but he shut of his BT connection.

@ Residentevil, whats a T650 ??
@ nolimits, different makes of phone handle note files differently. Nokia phones can read SE note files, but SE phones cannot read Nokia note files. Theres a lot of compatibility issues regarding notes.
Stick to sending phonebook contacts, since they're recognised by all bluejackable phones, and can be read easily by all phones - so you'll have a higher success rate.

It came up as a T650, but it was not an SE phone. I think it looked more like a Treo 650. That is the best guess.

I see.
I got an interesting bluejack today. Here i was, posting on Esato a K700i picture, and when i tried to send the picture from my phone to my pc using Bluetooth, a Nokia 6310i showed up.
I was quite suprised to see it. So, i grabbed my PDA and sent it 10 messages all at once. From next door i could hear beeping
I did it again, and again, and again, until the owner of the 6310i left my neighbours house about 20 minutes later.
You never know when a bluejacking opportunity will arise, huh ?

Nokia 6310i phones accept phonebook contacts automatically.
They also accept up to 10, so you can send 10 before the phone rejects them. When the owner has rejected one, or all, you can send more and more.
The downside to the 6310i is because its a fairly old business phone, you cannot send it colour pictures, and it'll only display 16 characters of the contacts name. So, messages have to be 16 characters or less.

The answer to your question is no.
There is bluejacking software available, but none automatically adjust the message settings before it sends it to specific phones.

lol, i'm always trying to pick up my next-door-neighbours phones (three dudes who always have the latest nokias) but they either don't have Bluetooth on or are set to "not visible"
well done etaab!
the 6310i is still a very popular phone, and one of my favs to send stuff too, love the "beep-beep-beep-beeeeep"

My neighbour on the other side has a N-gage QD, that shows up everytime hes at home.
Ive never tried to bluejack him though, since he'd know it was me.
