I have heard that a small number of p990 have been released.
The one that said this to me have also spooken with someone that is one of the lucky one that have recived a P990 and he said the phone was very slow.
Anyone here that can confirm any of this? |

@Jah,
With your faulty headset, what kind of battery life were you getting out of it before replacing it? I've read the battery life should be about 5-6 hours but HBH-DS970 headset only seems to run about 3 hours with continuous, uninterrupted music play.
Also, did you replace directly through SE or take it back to where you purchased the headset from?
Thanks

Well I just got my replacement HBH-DS970 (BT stereoheadset- the first set had a faulty battery) and it works so well with my M600 that I don't mind the P990 not showing this week. If you've not tried the HBH-DS970 you must, the sound quality is just unbelievable.

re: HBH-DS970 battery life
well I only managed around 3 1/4 hrs of use over two days after three full charges. The HBH-DS970 box says you should get 6 hrs use. In the UK you can return products for replacement/refund within 7 days of purchase so I asked for a replacement. The bass seems better in the new unit, but it could be just that I have learned how to use the in-ear headphones. The M600 is also a killer device if you use the Sennhiesser PX-100, these really show the music abilities of the M600 (sorry to go off topic) and hopefully will be true for the P990 (okay back ontopic again ). |

I've been using the ds970 for a few weeks and am well impressed
I'm just a bit annoyed that with the K800 I cant plug the wired headset in for the radio to operate, but feed the sound to the ds970
... and I'm sure the same limitation will apply to the P990

No, you can't replace the ear phones. It is an integrated handsfree with caller ID

I've just done my first 8hr charge, but will know by early next week if I can get close to 6 hrs. To be honest, I would be happy with about 4.5hrs.

A review of the P990 has been put up by gsmarena.com: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_k610-review-101.php
I know the URL says K610, but it is a P990 review.

@Mr[NiK], P9nineo was askign about using your own headset with the DS970 bluetooth headset rather than with the P990
I wouldn't do whats in that link anyway, these days you can get (and I have) a simple adaptor that plugs into the fast port and which provides a 3.5mm socket

ok nice review but as usual why at this time and stage are there still major bug fixes to be sorted out-this may go a long way in explaining the reason why the phone release date is constantly being pushed back |

@Jah & Masseur:
Do the HBH-DS970 bluetooth headphones only come in the orange/black walkman style color or can you get them in different colors, say silver to match the P990? |

@jmcconnell
www.l8shop.net where I bought my HBH-DS970 only the orange & black colour option was available (but it does look very attractive!)
