"Overall, Sony Mobile sold 7.4 million Xperia smartphones over the three-month period, this compares to 3.5m Xperia shipments in the same period last year."
Definitely a big improvement!!

Xperia Masona?
Now here is a name we haven’t heard of before. Two UK mobile phone e-tailers Handtec and gum mobile have listed a new Sony mobile called the Xperia Masona. Handtec has no other details listed, no price and no date, although it does say “New – Coming Soon”. The gum mobile listing lists a £199.99 price point and a “Coming Soon, Pre Order Now” notice. If that price point is to be believed then this is likely to be another low-mid end handset, hopefully more details will leak out soon.

The SL won't have the same chip as GX right? As in Hayabusa.
I can't wait for IFA event. Need a god damn new phone now.
Nope, Xperia SL will have the same SoC used in Xperia S, it's just same as Xperia arc s compared to the original Xperia arc..
After some times of producing any chip, chip designers can optimize the design more and the foundry can master the proccess more so they can make the same chip but with lower power usage allowing them to use use higher clocks than the original chip without consuming more power, or even with lower power consuming...
The same happened before with arc/arc s as they managed to increase the clock from 1GHz to 1.5GHz while having the same battery life.. in Xperia S/SL the clock bump is lower (200MHz compared to 500MHz in arc/arc s) duo to the dual core design (more complex)

So Xajel you mean SL will bring overclocked CPU and new colors only ?
Isn't enough that Sony using the same design for all its mobiles !? |

^^ Had a friend that owns a Playbook with BB Tablet OS 2.0, I quite like the ease of use, and it somehow reminds me of the WebOS, though I think android ICS/JB are still miles ahead in functionality. how I wished Sony would use the now "open" WebOS instead!

I really hope sony does not let bb10 slip by. Its looking great, and with bb, they could effectively have really high sales in middle east and india. Brand image of sony in india itself is pretty strong, This along with bb10 might be the thing that could get back to somewhere in top 3. Atleast in those regions..

BB10 has a huge potential! I felt that when I played with the Playbook before it was upgraded and have been following the developments of the OS closely.
I dare say it has the potential to be as good if not better than Android.
One thing is certain, I am getting a 'Bold' running on BB10 next year.

No, I am not saying it is as good as or better than Android but am saying it has the potential to be based on my experience with the QNX running Playbook I played with. Remember BB10 is built on the QNX platform.
