Please Help... How to make opera mini always connected to the net.. It always disconnects after some seconds of inactivity. Is there any way to extend the time or stay connected always. |

Even I'm also using a Kerala sim here in Karnataka. You have to e-recharge with Rs.274/- and MO will be activated on next-day before 7pm.

dude, how much speed u r getting with live? I'm not getting any websites other than Google in daytime. Only at morning, its okay.
By the way, is ur 3 mobiles trick to combine speeds of 3 connections working? Any effective way to download files from rapidsahre?

@alands,jingybox,dheeraj,hacking,ANYONE! i am at the brink of commiting suicide! Seriously guys, i have posted several times but to on avail. I urgently need help. I live in himachal and am using airtel prepaid. I have been using spartan's method for some time now but recently i have been getting the error 'your network settings do not allow you to request this url' and sometimes 'packet data connection not available'. My handset is a nokia n72 and use opera mobile. My settings are as follows: apn airtelfun.com (although i changed it to airtelgprs.com), proxy 100.1.200.99, port no 8080. I can neither connect through my mobile nor laptop. And by the way, is gtel also a part of airtel? And what is nop? Please help me out. I will repeatedly keep checkin this thread for replies. Really hope someone will reply. Thanks in advance |

"Packet Data connection not available" error only comes if the APN is not authorized for your number. It may also come if the nearest tower isn't GPRS enabled.
If you are not a mobile office subscriber, just use APN airtelfun.com
"gtel" is the codename.
Are u able to browse in the phone? IF no, then first of all, you should be able to configure your phone first. |

this is because airtel has blocked the trick and it isn't working in northern india atleast. the reason you get the 'packet data not available' is because you've changed the apn to Airtelgprs.com which is used for Airtel's mobile office(paid gprs). so you can't use that apn until you subscribe for the service.
NOP is net on phone. a gprs(wap + http) service allowing you to browse and download files less than 3 mb. charged @ 99 p.m.

these days i get a constant speed of above 5 kbps on live throughout d day. and i am able to browse all sites though. yesterday i downloaded over 250 mb via live just using a single class 10 gprs mobile. regarding multiple dialups , yes it works for me . . although i dont use it that much often now. i still dont know a proper solution for rapidshare dude. . sometimes setting the browser to use yf proxy works. .
