 | @TheWhizz_68, i downloaded noiseware, excellent stuff, thanks for the ref.
@chili, more great shots as usuall! You really catch the moment well.

The mirror shots are interesting, there's more than two dimensions, but in layers, and in reverse. I was surprised myself how they turned out..

 | @chili Chili it is really nice that we can get an art exhibition for free here in this wonderful thread, but you should really try to make a living out of it or at least go some steps further. Try to find (borrow, use, rent, ...)a better camera and make a portfolio or something and go to newspapers or whoever publishes pictures no matter how humble or local they might be and I'm sure that they will give you a chance. I have been in photography some time and trust me if I say that you have the eye so many professionals lack. The unanimous reactions here in the thread speak for themselves. I don't know your finances and what you can or can't do in life but you really should try. If you are not convinced PM me and I'll bomb you with arguments why this or that pic is good. But you know for yourself now I think.
If you don't then keep posting here so that at least the readers of this thread can keep enjoying.
And now I'll shut the ---- up about it and continue minding my own business.

 | I go back to this thread today and whoa!
I am so happy because somehow I bridged our geographical gap and was able to touch a nerve here and there, proving once more that there ARE universal experiences, memories and expressions. Images that conjure emotions common to all of us humans. To us who understand this commonality, racism is utterly stupid.

As you may have noticed, I have a profound love for my photographic subjects. Regardless of the circumstances they are in, if you look deeply enough at them, you will find beauty. When you try to bring out that essence via photos, your shots will become pleasant to the eye as a matter of course.

@max - More mirror shots please but don't hurt yourself

@thewhizz_68 - Man, excellent use of Noiseware! I am more comfortable with Neat Image though

@mrao, @DeLa - Thanks, guys! I don't believe I'm anywhere near good enough. Takes a lot of training and equipment too. I'm just happy to prove the K700i cam's worth.

@dr_thug - It's your comment that touched me the most, your being reminded of your school days. Thank you. Also:

-- That bike with sidecar thing is called a "pedicab." It's a word found in the Random House Webster's Dictionary. We locals also call it a "padyak," which is Tagalog for "to pedal."

-- To avoid Esato resizing, upload your images to Imageshack. Pls ask the guys from the K750i/S700i pic threads how to do it -- they upload big pics.

@marlonski - Man, we go way back in this thread.
Love your family group shot, it just bristles with energy. Good sidelighting. Beautiful family too!
 *****

 My contributions for today:

 "Purposes"

The shirtless man is homeless, a little mentally ill, gaunt and sunburnt from walking incessantly in our neighborhood. Every morning he could be seen striding briskly as if late for an appointment. He has never asked me for money so I don't know how he eats. Unfailingly he smiles when you look at him.

 "Tenderness"

In the concrete jungle, the air is dirty, the road hot and unforgiving, the structures dead and gray.

 | @chili - thanks man , I am very proud of my family, I think their beautiful, and it was nice of you to say so
Great pictures as usual, I thought the homeless guy looked in pretty good shape considering his plight.

@vergon, agree, that is a nice view

@thewhizz_68, nice dog mate, Jack Russell ? Had one as a kid, bit tempramental but lovely all the same !

this is my dog 'pip' with my youngest daughter, taken about 6months ago.
