I think you're onto something there. Wasn't there talk that the cancelled XZ4 was pretty much the XZ3 with the XZ2P camera? That certainly has a lot of the design cues to fit. I don't think that's a model well ever see sold.

Just recently they started to offer to A7 III, A7R3 and A9 the ability to use with pets, they are working to use on birds in the future.
Well I don't know what they said, but in reality it does work for pets, although not quite as good as with humans. |

Sony should make own press in Tokyo or Taipei instead of Berlin.
They clearly no longer care about this event after XZ.
It has been like :
- This is the new Xperia .....
- It will be available in first week of october.

I kinda like Sony's no BS presentations. Watched the galaxy s event for the fold, it was so pretentious and dumb.
Did the cancelled phone have 21:9 screen? The panel looks like it's the same size as the X1. I was surprised to see X1 didn't have the butt notch, gets pretty thin towards the back of the USB port. The only butt notched phone had a curved display. Could this have one too? |

I saw a leak on Twitter about a 9.5" Xperia coming. The leaker was one of the usual leakers. Can't seem to find it now though, not sure how reliable or sensible it might be.

IFA is not a mobile focused show.
I have seen some press photos of a new xperia, not sure what model it is, but it is almost identical to the renders from earlier this year. see below

The real phone has a more matte finish than the shiny one seen in the render. The back panel does lack the FPS and it appears to be on the side now. It also features 3 cameras like the xperia 1, but from the photos I could not tell if the 3 cams were the same as the 1 or different, but they are in the same place as the render. And yes just like the render, the bottom speaker grill is now on the bottom of the device, no longer on the screen.
