danlai: hi, now there are 3 of us from IMU here, hehe..about palm, i had just used it for a mere 1 week, so i dunno whether it will suffice my needs, but i hope that the 64MB SD card i bought is sufficient at least for the time being. Maybe i will change to a pocket pc when i go overseas after this sem. By the way i am in sem 5. About the drugs library, is there a freeware for it? or did u purchased it, quite hard to find freeware for medic online. Anyway what pocket PC are u using?Ipaq 3970?

cheers

gilthoniel: For picts, I use the MGI Photosuite which was included in he Palm Bonus CD... so I neednt use ZboxZ to change to a pdb. If I do so, how do I view the file (eg: me.gif.pdb) on my m130?

Here's what I did with my Palm & T68:-
I sync my picture (eg: me.gif.pdb) to my Palm. Then I renamed it to (me.gif) using McFile. I beamed it to my T68... it was able to do the transfer BUT I was unable to see the pict. It shows a red X, meaning I was unable to see the pict. I suspect the problem could be due to the file size being big... Hmm...

veon18: RM$2699? Woah!!! That's really expensive... But good thing abt SE mobiles is that prices go down very fast! Only then I'll be able to afford... I dun want to waste too much money

scrreech : The reason your phone doesn't show the picture is because it's in the MGI format. You have to box your GIFs with ZboxZ. Your file will appear as 123.gif in the info in ZboxZ. So there's no need of renaming. The reason the file went through is because it was named .gif but it's in the wrong format so the phone couldn't show it.

Mmm... i don't usually view the pics that i box with ZboxZ but I do use Handstory to keep my pics separately and view them. It's a great Memo, doc and picture viewer. You can check it out in Palmgear too.

veon : wat word program?

Cheers!

@scrreech FunnyPhone can preview the gif before send. Why not you try out funnyphone? It's a freeware too. By the way SGD$380 for trade it t68 is damn worth. I want to change back to 8250 because I can use it rudely. hahaha. I used to kick it as a football

@veon18 well, I used 7mb out of 8mb for palm. 64mb is more then enough for you. Palm use very little of memory to install program only. But pocket pc devide it into 2 parts which is RAM and another one is RAM act as hard disk (storage). When install a program it mount into storage part and when execute it take up RAM too.

gil: i use the freeware inside the bonus cd in m130 package, document to go

sfa: DRS-11 cost RM150 but it runs via serial port, USB data cable cost around rm190 ,maybe u can ask ur relatives to buy in peninsular malaysia and send it via pos to u

yapliren: oo...guess 64MB is really sufficient, and Pocket PC sounded too complicated compared to palm from your words....Ermm..actually did not see many of medical students use T68 (only saw 2 gals carrying a T68i in the campus and no guys...maybe guys do not show off as much as gals..hehe)

scrreech: I tot RM2699 is well below the estimated price which was around RM3k. SE price drop fast?i tot it is Nokia all along...

gilthoniel: YEA!!! I slept abt 4am having fun with my Palm & T68!!! I was busy with finding all my picts... resizing them to 101x80... boxing them & beaming them!!! The fault was that I didnt go back to ZboxZ to beam... I used McFile... And another prob was that I saved the boxed gifs in my card & not in the Palm (hardisk). However, all is well & I'm very very happy

yapliren: I did install Funnyphone once but I wasn't able to see any gif files there. Only managed to beam the ringtones that was included in there. I gave up & deleted the prgme.

veon18: As far as I know, SE prices drop very fast & the value is quite little compared to Nokia phones. Noka phones can maintain their prices for quite sometime & their value is more. Eg: I sold my mom's Nokia 3210 & my T10sc. Both mobiles came out abt the same time. I got SGD$70 for the Nokia & SGD$50 (which was good enuff as someone actually offered $30!!!) for the T10sc. And Nokia have very high trade-in prices. The Nokia 8210 & the T68m are actually worth the same trade-in price!!!

yapliren: Right~... ookie... but i cannot see the gif files... How do I import? There's this pdb file called T39picts but I was uable to actually see the files in funnyphone except the ones already installed here. *scratch head*

veon18: I actually saw a software whereby u could use it when making rounds to visit patients... something called 'Patients'. Have u heard of it???

All PDA users: Do u play games with ur Palm? If so, what's ur favourite?I play Scrabble a lot with my bf during train/bus rides.

http://www.funnysoft.org/FunnyPDBManager.php?
This url let you download a program that able to make .gif files into one single pdb and let you sync it and use it in funnyphone.

I love to play a game call Air Hockey.
Bubblet is also a nice game for single player
