@ori - look closer, the first one is a pic taken of the top part of the floppy, the metal sliding part 
@nick - is it taken from some kind of signboard ?

the horizontal pattern makes it look like it's taken from a computer/TV screen or inside a room with poor fourescent light.
Anyway, it looks to me like some sport icon like diving or skiing. It could also be a PCB pattern.
