hi
anyone any news on the dss-xx support for multiserver?
am reluctant to buy the t28 cable as sods law says dss support will appear after i order it (hate o2 as they have effectively wasted my money on a useless dss-20)
what is the logic of o2 denying the online update service? can only see it being detromental to them in the long run.,,
rant over
 cake anyone? |

@morak
@vee
sorry about the delay. sure i ll tell u in detail.
first of all, i used the help from the program NOT from the webpage as this was pure confusion.
second of all, because i hear that default used no credit, i did the deafaukt flash first with the language, firmware and customization. this took 20 minutes. when the whole process finished (uploading everything) and it said "done", i immediately went on normal tab, and did the exact same thing. firmware, language and customization. at this point i was confused cos it said credit used : 1.... i was gutted for a minute... until it started uploading as it usually was.
once it finished it said "u have used one credit already" therefore, i couldnt load the language files , but i werent bothered, cos the language files already is uploaded when flashed with DEFAULT.
confusing, i no... but i think they did it for a reason.
well, i disconnected the cable, took out the battery, put it back in, and turned it on and it sloowy booted up saying "please wait". at this pint i was pissed off cos it was still in the colour red. i was thinking "what have i done, putting it back on vodafone" then half way, it changed colour , had the ORIGINAL "sony ericsson" logo (that looked MILES better than the gay vodafone how are you thing) and when finished booting up, i checked the firmware and it was RAA0003!
and that is how i done it. if you have any doubts about this method please tell me, cos there may be a problem with my phone which i dont know about. well hap[py so far. im pretty sure its correct as i haveing no problems with it any way so far.
thank you everyone once again.

Well I`m delighted to say I`ve just unbranded mine following the default procedure only, took about 20 minutes. I didn`t bother with the normal and everything is fine although I have lost all settings and files as anticipated |

Hello
i have registered here to say that
if you wish to debrand your phone
you ONLY need to flash using the DEFAULT page no need to flash through default and then through Normal
Secondly
what is so hard to follow about the instructions on totalserver.net
You select Default
select the firmware file and then press flash once completed you choose the DEFAULT language File(K7D) of your choice and then press Flash
once the processes are done your phone is debranded and FULLY working no need to flash with NORMAL page and no need to do anything else
DSS-XX is Not supported and 1.28 is the latest version which you can use at the moment and you should alway use 1.28 and no other versin until the release of a new version is released on www.totalserver.net
Maybe some people downloaded v1.29 in the few mins it was on the cserver but if you have DO NOT use it. it will NOT work properly becuase serverside has not been updated to use it properly and you will cause damage to your phone |

For everyone who decustomised there fone with earlier versions than 1.28 you need to Use the NORMAL page and flash all 3 files K7S K7L and K7C
for people who are now using 1.28 and about to flash there phone just use DEFAULT page and flash K7S and K7D files and you will debranded phone and all T9 languages etc |

I sucessfully flashed and de-branded my voda k700 today, after an unseccessful attempt yesterday. My error was due to the fact that i was trying to flash the firmware & language at the same time. This needs to done separately. After all the confusion that has been flying about i thought i'd post what i did...
Purchased T28 cable and TS credit from faceoffmobiles
Acquired latest TS Client (1.28)
Downloaded K700_R2AA003_ZONE_1.K7S firmware
Downloaded K700_R2AA003_EU5.K7D default_language file
Fully charged my phone battery
Backed up my contacts using PhoneBackup (or to the SIM)
Powered off phone, removed sim, replace battery, connected cable
Start TS Client
Select K700/K700i phone in dropdown
Click the "NORMAL" tab
Click the folder button next to "Select FIRMWARE File" and browse to K700_R2AA003_ZONE_1.K7S that was downloaded earlier
Make sure that the COM port settings are correct for you PC
Click the "Flash" button
You will see messages appear in the right hand window, one of which prompts you to press the power button. Make sure you don't hold it down too long as you don't want you phone to power up
Then if all goes well after about 10-15 minutes of uploading you will get a message saying "Done"
Once this is done DO NOT DISCONNECT OR POWER ON THE PHONE.
Click the button with the red cross on it next to where it says "Select FIRMWARE File" to remove the firmware file that was selected earlier.
Then click the "Default" tab, browse to K700_R2AA003_EU5.K7D that was downloaded earlier where it says "Select DEFAULT LANGUAGE File"
Click the "Flash" button and press the power button as you did earlier when prompted.
Again wait about 7-10 minutes and you will get the message "Done"
Close down TS Client
Disconnect cable
Remove battery, insert SIM, replace battery and power on phone.
CROSS FINGERS!!!
The phone will SLOWLY boot up and you'll see a "Please Wait" message then it SHOULD go to the normal screen and you have de-branded phone with the latest firmware.
Restore contacts using PhoneBackup (or from the SIM)
Go to SE site to restore you're WAP and MMS profiles.
Voila!!
Please note that this is the way that I successfully flashed/de-branded my phone and I can't guarantee it'll work for everyone. From what i could tell only the flasing of the language file used 1 credit, the firmware didn't, but you do need to do both (i think!!)
Also please feel free to make any additional comments to this post

OK. Thanks to Face Off Mobiles for coming here...
The instructions on www.totalserver.net are redone a bit not to confuse anyone anymore. So do it exactly the way it is written there.
Take care

This is from www.faceoffmobiles.com:
If you wish, you may also pay by a number of alternative methods.
These include Bank Transfers, Cheque, Cash, Paypal and Nochex. Personal checks will delay your order as we must wait for your funds to clear before we ship any merchandise.

For info of slush97
Phone is perfect as far as I can tell. No menu stutter or any other problems.
I did the simple process as described by faceoff with both files selected |

@ pmatz
DTR (Data Terminal Ready) active high output
Tells the other computer that the port is ready to receive data.
RTS (Ready To Send) active high output
Tells the other computer that you want to send data.
Hope this helps
