I've also got a Samsung D500 and the pics on that are just as good as the S700.

Is that a dead(bright?) pixel I'm seeing? On the first and the third photos there is a blue pixel near the left edge.

No that is a stuck pixel.

Stuck pixel? Meaning? I have that blue "dot" on mine too. Same place. |

Have a look at the pics in the links here. They were taken by me in low light. |

Any landscape images, such as the ones taken in NYC ?
I think closeup pictures never do a camera justice.

My kids first time doing alpine skiing...
Taken with "Cloudy" White Balance and Spot Photometry on
My comments about S700i Camera:
Nice outside pictures during day, be sure to adjust White Balance to your environment. Always use spot photometry and night mode when possible and DO NOT MOVE.
Corners of the pictures are always a bit out of focus, probably due to a cheap CCD or lens from SE.
Inside pictures are great when it's sunny outside and a lot of light is coming in from the windows and you use the right white balance, night mode and spot photometry and you do not move.
Inside pictures with low light are very hard to get right, you definitely need to use night mode or else you'll get a lot of grain in your pictures, spot photometry usually doesn't matter because of low light and moving, even just a bit, always totally scraps you photos. It is best to use self-timer if you can.
